The Eastern Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action wrapped up its three-day engagement today in Mombasa, Kenya highlighting the need for stronger government commitment, timely financing and regional partnerships to better prepare for disasters.
Speaking during the Ministerial Segment, IGAD Executive Secretary H.E. Dr. @DrWorkneh encouraged Member States to endorse the Mombasa Ministerial Declaration and ensure the commitments made are reflected in practical actions at the national level.
The focus is on making sure early warnings are followed by timely action to protect lives, livelihoods and communities.

Guys, I鈥檓 looking for ONE person to go with me to #VumaPiano on November 7th.
No qualifications whatsoever, just someone who loves good music and wants to have a good time. Most importantly, someone who knows when to go home because one of us needs to be responsible enough to drag both of us out of there.
I wish I could take all of you, but I only have ONE ticket to give away

APPRECIATION POST
Today I just want to appreciate @UTDBradleyCarl
We have never met in person; I only know him from X, but the support he has shown towards my hustle is something I will never take for granted.
Imagine waking up in the morning and seeing him quote my post about boots, choose four people to receive boots, and actually fulfill his promise by sending me UGX 500,000.
Honestly, words cannot express how grateful and humbled I am. Thank you so much for believing in me, supporting my business, and going out of your way to support my hustle.
Your kindness means more to me than you know. May God bless you abundantly, increase you, and reward your beautiful heart.
You are truly one in a million. Thank you so much, Calvin.
