There are many who are careful of their health and negligent of their life

Happy 18th birthday to Sentry! π
I never imagined what the project would become- from a dinky Django project to surpassing 200k teams on our cloud this year. π
Thanks everyone who has contributed over the years, as a customer, a team member, or a collaborator. β€οΈ

A student in Zurich sleeps in a camper van outside a hangar every night. Just to have more hours to build a humanoid robot. Heβs obsessive. He's not alone. 2,500 students across Europe are getting into robotics right now.
And now they united and just launched: ESRA, the European Student Robotics Association. πͺπΊπ¦Ύ
They are bringing together highly talented young people, give them space, give them resources and let them build. By now already 13 robotics clubs. 8 countries. 2,500+ students.
I visited several of them over the last weeks to get to know them and let them tell their stories. We've also been helping behind the scenes where we can, because this is exactly what Europe needs.
Several multiple billion dollar companies will come out of the ESRA network. Right here in Europe.
If the Bay Area had a student robotics network like this, they would never shut up about it.
Time we do the same. π€π₯πͺπΊ
It only needs a few crazy ones to fix a continent. Turns out they're already building. πͺπΊ

Kinda crazy how @sentry so quickly became the de facto standard for gaming studios @CrimsonDesert_ steamdb.info/depot/3321461/

βAC this, wash dryer that, US woohoo, EU boohooβ - Why are we eating this brand-warfare from the outside about us up?
Europe has the strongest precision manufacturing in the world, we have leading teams in AI, CV, robotics. Europe is a leader in Automation and Frontier Tech!
Not a single NVIDIA chip could be produced without European machines. Not a single American cloud, robotics, or deep-tech firm would operate without European manufacturing or suppliers.
But we are too humble. Brainwashed to never celebrate Europe. By outsiders and our local politicians.
Time for a change.
Europe is the birthplace of industrialization.
The home of frontier tech.
Time, we act like it.
Welcome to the real Europe! π₯πͺπΊ

Very satisfying to me how AIs punish unnecessarily abstract codebases. Oh Claude isnβt working well for you because it struggles to decipher your baroque metaprogramming hellcode? How unfortunate

EU-Inc is close to the finishing line (of the first stage) πͺπΊ
All the politicians in Brussel want "something like it". It's the #1 item on the commission's strategy. Now the hard part is to make sure the politicians have the ambition to get the details right.
You can have the same goals, but if you stack-rank priorities differently, don't understand details, or simply lack political ambition you easily end up with something useless.
We will need your help β now and over the next weeks.
First up, I wrote up a quick primer that gets you up to speed with everything that happened so far and WHICH details are important to get right.
It also gives a bit of insight into the repeating discussions we constantly have with Brussels and member states.
If we as European startup scene get this right, and implement EU-Inc cleanly β as something that startups can actually use β we will create the biggest leapfrog improvement for startups and tech-innovation in Europe in our lifetime.
Here the details: klinger.io/posts/eu-inc
Let's get this done.

Since today marks 40 years since the eruption of Mount St Helens in 1980, I'd like to talk about one of the figures connected to the eruption who often goes overlooked. A volcanologist by the name of Harry Glicken (1/24)

Thread (1/16). How is that our economic statistics suggest workers have been making slow but steady progress in recent decades, while popular perception is that their family finances are coming under increasingly untenable pressure? I've been working on this, here's my answer:
