We had a long conversation with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro SΓ‘nchez @sanchezcastejon about the situation with Russian attacks. Every day, Russia kills our people, and Ukrainians know just how painful every loss of life is. Last month, a terrible tragedy on the railway in Toledo, Spain, claimed dozens of lives. I expressed our condolences to the Prime Minister and everyone who lost their family members and loved ones.
Throughout all the years of this war, Spain has consistently helped and supported us. And there is a new β¬437 million military assistance package from Spain. Thank you! We discussed its content and our most pressing defense needs.
I briefed him on Russian strikes on our critical infrastructure β energy, logistics, and railways. This year, Russia has damaged more of our locomotives than in all the previous years of this war combined. Our power grid and water supply are under constant attack. The situation is difficult, especially in Kyiv, and every step of humanitarian support is also very important. I thank Spain and Pedro personally for their support.

During my meeting with King Felipe VI of Spain, I expressed my condolences to His Majesty and all the Spanish people over the train collision in Toledo. Our sympathies go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
I also briefed His Majesty on the consequences of daily Russian attacks on Ukraine. We are now actively working with our partners to strengthen our air defense and better protect people. We count on Spainβs support in this regard.
I thank Spain for all the assistance it provides to our people. Special gratitude to His Majesty for his personal support. This is very important to our people.

Ukraine needs to move toward the new political infrastructure in the United States of America. We need to move quickly. Consolidate the bipartisan support we have. Understanding the shifting balance of power, we need to build the dialogue properly. Our chances of receiving additional assistance from the United States of America may now increase.
Ukraine has no choice but to strengthen itself. At least as long as the war continues. And that is why we need to work on a package from the United States of America. We must raise the issue that, under previous agreements and decisions, 16 billion was withheld and not provided to Ukraine. We are grateful for everything that has been provided, but at the very least, Ukraine must fight for these funds.

Russians are using βshahedβ drones and missiles to hit even the energy equipment that our nuclear power plants depend on. Every power plant in Ukraine has been damaged in one way or another by Russian attacks.
We need transformers, and power cables, modern electrical equipment, and different generators β both diesel and gas. We know that companies in Spain and Latin America can help with this. We are interested in transformers from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia, power cables from Chile, and electrical equipment, cables, and generators from Spain.
We need equipment that works with our power grid. And we need it fast. So please, help us work directly with your companies and get these supplies to Ukraine as quickly as possible. So letβs make it happen.

"We all wish that we could take president Putin's assurances that he doesn't seek war with Europe at face value.
But unfortunately, he's currently waging a war in Europe. A war that he could end today.
A war that was unprovoked and is illegal, and he could end at any moment that he chooses."

Without America, thousands and thousands more Ukrainians would have been killed by Russian strikes. And millions more would have become refugees. Thatβs why we always thank America. And we mean it. Even when we say thank you many times in one speech. Just to make sure those who sometimes feel we havenβt thanked them enough can hear us.
But we also know that without Europe, Ukraine would not have survived. Without Germany and other European countries, without the EU. The Russians would have burned down far more of our cities and villages if it were not for your help.

Protest has an element of theatre. Thatβs part of how British people make themselves heard.
I told the Joint Committee on Human Rights we should be proud of a culture where people can express themselves and worried that new restrictions are making peaceful protest harder.
π The right to protest is a democratic right.
Thank you for asking me to contribute π
Have reforms weakened the right to protest?
@LizWebsterSBF from @SaveBritishFood told the Joint Committee on Human Rights that we should be proud as a culture that we can express ourselves.
The hearing examined legislation giving the police more powers to restrict protest.

Really interesting
πΈπ¦π·πΊ Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly issued a final ultimatum to Russia: stop supplying Iran with missiles and other weapons that Tehran transfers to the Houthis, who are fighting against Saudi Arabia.
Otherwise, he has reportedly threatened to open the oil taps at full capacity, just as Saudi Arabia did during the Reagan era, and drive global oil prices practically down to zero.
