It pains me to say this but using Cursor + Grok has made me excited to be a .NET Developer again. The combo is really good and is augmentative to my work vs trying to overengineer and replace me (looking at you Claude and ChatGPT...)

This Apple Event is genuinely boring. I'm not talking about the products. It's just super low energy. Like everyone is tired and just pushing through to seem high energy but it's not working and feels awkward and dull.
Masters of the Universe was fantastic and I’m really upset we’re probably not going to get more.
Everyone involved understood the assignment and to be honest knew how to treat the source (OG cartoon) with respect while also acknowledging it was super goofy.
A few minor missteps here and there but overall it was fun and colorful and the sound track, my god the soundtrack, was insane.
Will be seeing it in theatres again. My daughters absolutely loved it and really want a She-Ra movie.
I've been delving deep into Wolverine as not only a replacement for MediatR and MassTransit but for Sagas. I built a workflow engine on top of it that allows you to do decision trees with multiple step dependencies and it works amazingly.

Just got my Playnix by the makers of EmuDeck (@EmuDeck) and I have to say, I’m genuinely impressed by the build quality and the overall fit and finish of the system packing a 5600+9060 XT.
I expected the quality to be good but aside from a few 3D print lines you can only see up close, you can’t tell this isn’t a big name console.

Personally? I don't mind male cheerleaders.
That being said, the choreographer should be fired. Men and women have different structures that allow them to move differently. She has a man on her squad. She should lean into that and create some really unique choreography show casing it instead of just trying to make him "one of the girls".
Notice the way he arches his back to like the girls. That's an unnatural stance for men. It makes him look awkward and stand out more.
I love the ballet but the first thing you'll notice is the difference in technique, style and choreography between male and female dances. A good choreographer can work with that difference and create something great.
So, male cheerleaders? No problem. Flamboyantly gay male cheerleaders? No problem. Bad choreography? Big problem.
It is now my official head canon that Back to the Future, Blade Runner, Alien and Predator all take place in the same universe.
This is all due to Doc Brown fucking around with the timeline and creating the timeline that leads to Blade Runner and then Weyland being mentored by Tyrell (Prometheus/Aliens) and Weyland-Yutani appearing in the Predator movies.
Just saw Predator: Badlands with my 12 year old daughter and we both had a blast. As much as I love the first two, it was nice to share a moment of violence and sci-fi with my eldest with risking the scarring of the 80s. It was nice dad/daughter moment and now she WANTS to watch the others.
It was a little more “Star Wars”/“Jurrasic World” than OG Predator but the fight scenes were fun and aside from a weird moment where a snake sacrifices itself it was solid.
Maybe we can look at Badlands as a gateway for a younger audience to enjoy the franchise.
I like her plan of no capital gains on primaries.

Also, people that say you get your money back when you sell and make money have no idea how money works.

Instead stop companies and asset managers from buying up single family homes, which has driven the price of homes and forced homebuyers to compete with corporations that turn thousands of homes into permanent rental homes.
Let people with a good rent history qualify for mortgages.

PASS MY BILL - NO CAPITAL GAINS TAXES ON THE SALE OF YOUR PRIMARY HOME.
This will help people keep the equity they have earned owning their home for a very long time and likely allow them to lower the price of their home for sale since they won’t be paying taxes after they sell their home.
It really will help seniors sell their houses and keep their equity, which also in turn gives them money they need and that gets put back in the economy.
