When we talk about the “homeless industrial complex,” we’re talking about a fundamental question: Is the goal to get people out of homelessness or keep funding a system that manages it indefinitely?
More programs, more contracts, and bigger budgets should never substitute for results. Taxpayers deserve to know how many people actually move into stable housing, receive effective treatment, and rebuild their lives.
Democrats in Salem need to answer for the policies they champion and the outcomes those policies produce in our communities. Good intentions don’t excuse failed policies, and calling something “compassionate” doesn’t put it beyond scrutiny.
We can demand safe neighborhoods, clear rules, and accountability while helping people who need it. People experiencing homelessness deserve a path forward. Families and businesses deserve safe communities. Taxpayers deserve results.
Success should be measured by how many people no longer need the system, not how large the system becomes.
Who TF does he think he is? Why is he allowed such unchecked power as if he was the president?

Buried in this bill Gavin signed is a big "fuck you" to the Palisades. We are suing LADWP for draining our reservoir (which was built for fire protection), and leaving us with dry hydrants. This bill now says LADWP doesn't have to provide water for firefighting AT ALL. And when their negligence leaves us with no water to fight fire, Gavin is prohibiting any accountability for the water utility for leaving people to die, precluding fire victims from recovering losses from a catastrophic wildfire.
At EVERY turn, this scumbag finds ways to block fire victims from being made whole by incompetent, negligent, and corrupt bureaucrats and big utility providers when they routinely destroy entire towns.

That level of denial is exactly why Oregon desperately needs new leadership.

Far-left Democrat Xavier Becerra just got completely EXPOSED by Republican Steve Hilton for losing track of hundreds of thousands of migrant children during his time as HHS Secretary.
Becerra just stood there looking nervous as Hilton laid it all out. It was absolutely brutal to watch.
HILTON: “When you were HHS Secretary, you were responsible for 479,000 unaccompanied migrant children and for their welfare in camps that you ran.”
“You sent them because you dismantled the vetting that should have made sure that they were with a safe, protective family or sponsor.”
“You sent thousands of young children directly into the clutches of child sex and labor traffickers, hundreds of thousands of children that you were responsible for are still missing today, 100,000 of them are under ten years old.”
When Becerra attempted to play off the narrative as just another “Trump talking point,” Hilton landed his final haymaker:
