Israelis were objectively victims of October 7th—the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust.

We are witnessing a new and dangerous red-green alliance, communists and Islamists coming together and sweeping over the Democrat Party.
They are united because they share the same enemies. They hate Christians, they hate Jews, they hate capitalism, they hate the Constitution, and they hate America.
It gives me no pleasure to say this. For me and my family, communism is not theoretical. My family has bled and has been imprisoned and tortured by communists in Cuba.
That is what communists do, from the frozen gulags of the Soviet Union to Chairman Mao’s driving nails through the eyes of Christians, from the killing fields of Cambodia to the starvation and misery in North Korea and Venezuela and Nicaragua and Cuba.
And Islamism likewise produces murder and oppression, from the forced wearing of hijabs to the stoning of rape victims, from the systematic murder of homosexuals to honor killings and the barbarism of October 7 and 9/11.

Nothing to see here. Taxpayer-funded City Hall staff are using encrypted messages to send friendly influencers daily talking points and content to promote the mayor. I’m sure the media watchdogs are all over it.

He is apologizing for introducing context and how that is what he described as appearing to step on the pain of others.
He ISN’T apologizing for acknowledging the pain of a Hezbollah inspired terrorist. Two very different things. This is already a reversal of his previous soft apology in the NY times.
This entire line of feeling the pain of all groups in Michigan is bad. Good people don’t care about the pain of members and those who commit attacks inspired by members of designated foreign terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.
The question to ask him is this:
Given the important role of a senator has regarding national security. Do you believe Hezbollah is accurately designated as a foreign terrorist organization? If so what additional steps do you think the U.S. and allies in region should take in disarming, and if not why?

I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.
We do not yet know the cause of death, but we do know that too many New Yorkers have died on Rikers Island. The Department of Correction and its oversight partners will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
Our administration is fully committed to the critical work of creating better conditions in our city’s jail system and closing Rikers Island as quickly as possible.
Socialism seeks to end oppression, not swap one hate for another. A just society crumbles if founded on division. Let’s reject all hatred and unite.
