Imagine being this happy you STOLE someone’s home.
A group of Israeli settlers have seized eight Palestinian homes on Wednesday in Jericho, located in the occupied West Bank.  Palestinian sources reported that the settlers, accompanied by their families, stormed the eight homes, which were empty at the time of the raid

This is the worst morning ever. No one in Gaza City slept last night. The rain completely flooded the tents, soaking mattresses and destroying families' belongings. We are underwater. Thousands of families have been trying for hours to save what little they have left, with nowhere dry to go.

This is very important to understand and was crucial rape myth busted by trial. Contrary to so many other women (sisters?!) posting, consent to one form of sex does not mean someone gets to alternatively anally rape you. Next fight for us all is teaching our boys and girls this
A lot of my friends are sex workers and they have some horror stories about NC. Really disturbing and horrendous stuff. I’m pro-regulation because I think tracking these men and making it easy to stop them visiting and harming other sex workers is absolutely essential for their safety,

I don’t know. It feels obscenely stupid to start posting videos of my loved ones in Gaza right now, as their tents flood with rainwater in the middle of the night, as they sleep in damp clothes on soaked mattresses, and to think for a f*cking second that these images might move someone to save their babies, to protect what little dignity they have left. As if this time could be any different from last year, or the year before that, or the year before that. As if people around the world, especially those with the power to do something, might suddenly be moved by a family’s tent flooding with rainwater when the sight of hundreds of babies whose bodies were shredded by Israeli bombs was not enough to put an end to this. How many more times must we expose the suffering of the people we love, strip them of their privacy in their most vulnerable moments, in the desperate hope that someone, somewhere, might finally care enough to act?

We're being told that we might not have enough gas to keep the power on throughout winter and we might face blackouts when all we have to do is turn the fucking data centres off?
🚨🇬🇧 NEW: The UK’s gas use is set to surge by 40% year on year driven by data centre demand

What is happening in Jericho, my hometown, makes me physically sick. I am outraged. In #Jericho, my hometown, Israeli settlers are celebrating their takeover of eight homes as a historic “return. “After thousands of years, the people of Israel have returned to settle the city of Jericho.” That is how Hebrew reports celebrated the move on 4 November. Israel Ganz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council, said, “We are returning home.” Daniella Weiss, who chairs the Nachala settlement movement, presented it as part of a wider effort to renew Jewish settlement across the region. Here is what that “return” looked like for Palestinians in al-Duyuk al-Tahta, west of Jericho. On 4 November, settlers moved into eight homes in an operation organized by Nachala and backed by the Binyamin Regional Council. The organizers claimed they had purchased the properties. Palestinian residents nearby said they were afraid to go back to their own homes. Today settlers are backed by Israeli forces who attacked residents and International activists, beating them and spraying them with pepper spray. Many were injured. I am a daughter of Jericho, a city with more than 10,000 years of history. I refuse to watch that history be invoked to justify taking over Palestinian homes today. How can anyone celebrate a “return” while the people who live there are afraid to return to their own homes? My family home is less than 2 Kilometers away !!! Stop Israeli #impunity Stop #settlercolonisation #Jericho #palestine

Last Tuesday night, as we awaited election returns, fifteen masked Israel Police and Shin Bet officers entered the home of journalist Abed Abu Shehadeh, a Palestinian citizen of Israel, and took him into custody. Today, I joined fellow incoming Congressmembers @DanielBiss & @Scott_Wiener in sending a letter to Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. @yechielleiter, calling for his immediate release.

Why do we not bash babies' heads against the wall? Because their little brains will bleed Yet not giving this vitamin to newborns puts them at over twice the risk of having a bleed in their brains without hitting their heads at all. It can mean life-long disability or even death
New JAMA study out today: In 5.2 million US babies: the % skipping vit K shot at birth more than doubled since 2017. And babies who skipped it had >2x the risk of a brain bleed. Vitamin K is not a vaccine. It is a vitamin babies are in low in at birth. One shot saves lives.

Pathological liar. He supported Putin No unelected one man should have the power to conduct foreign policy
Musk reposts a message claiming SpaceX made a mistake by helping Ukraine The post shared by the billionaire reads: “In hindsight, it was a mistake for SpaceX to send them thousands of free Starlink dishes and millions of dollars a month in free service at the beginning of the war. What started as internet access for civilians became the backbone for autonomous killing drones. And now if they don’t support military use, they get skewered for it in the press.”

Would you spend $8 to see your family, get to a doctor’s appointment, or reach the market? Or would you use that $8 to feed your hungry children? Give to Gaza: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… That’s the choice families in Gaza face when getting anywhere costs money that they need for food. What do you put off today? The appointment you’ve been waiting for? Seeing someone you love? A meal for your children? Watch the joy on people’s faces as they board The Sameer Project’s free bus in Gaza’s beach area. A ride they might have had to go without is suddenly within reach. And they can still bring that $8 home. Freedom of movement is a basic right. No family should have to give up a meal to get where they need to go. Help The Sameer Project keep these buses running and every ride free. Donate through the General Fund link: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…

Why do people hate data centers so much? Because they are the physical manifestation of an oligarchy that treats their life and mind as collateral damage of profits.

BREAKING: Iran is now distributing iodine tablets to communities within a two to three kilometer radius of its sensitive nuclear facilities over fears of a US nuclear attack, a Health Ministry official confirms to The Times. "Yes, we are distributing iodine. Trump can no longer be trusted. He may go through with this crime," the official said. "Everyone knows that very little time remains. If America does not use a nuclear weapon against Pickaxe Mountain, it will be a miracle," an Iranian analyst with close ties to the IRGC said. Senior figures across the government, the IRGC and the regular armed forces expect Pickaxe to be among the principal targets of the coming war. Iraq activated nuclear emergency plans and border radiation monitoring yesterday.

Patsy Stevenson, "It's not a shock to a lot of people" "What's sad to see is the many man women who have now been allowed to share stories about what they heard about Russel Brand" Stvenson mentions Strategic Lawsuits against Public Participation (SLAPPs) which are used to silence victims of abuse, citing the current example of David Walliams saying, "Everyone knows he's abusive, and no one wants to speak about it. He can sue me because I've not got any money" Speaking of the victims and survivors, "It is not only a brave thing to do, but if you don't report it doesn't mean you are not brave. because survivors are living with the abuse perpetrators have done to them every single day of their life. They are still brave" "Abusers should be scared. This should send a message to abusive men, even if you're in power, how dare you" My view: In 2006, Dannii Minogue publicly described Russell Brand as a "vile predator" who "wouldn't take no for an answer." That was 20 years ago. Yesterday, Brand was convicted of rape and three sexual assaults. How many other women raised concerns over those two decades? How many people in the entertainment industry knew about his behaviour? And how many opportunities were missed to intervene before more women suffered? Why was behaviour that should have raised serious concerns so often dismissed as part of an entertainer's outrageous personality? As Patsy Stevenson points out, there is also the enormous imbalance of power. When someone has fame, money, influential friends and expensive lawyers, speaking out can threaten your career, finances and reputation. And that's the wider issue. How many people in the public eye today have similar allegations circulating privately, while those around them remain too frightened to speak publicly? We cannot keep relying on victims to risk everything, or on investigative journalists to spend years uncovering what colleagues may already have been discussing behind closed doors. We need genuinely independent reporting mechanisms, meaningful whistleblower protections, stronger safeguards against abusive legal threats, and consequences for organisations that knowingly bury credible complaints. The question shouldn't just be why victims didn't speak sooner. It should be why those with the power to act didn't listen, investigate and protect people sooner. Justice decades later matters. But preventing the next victim matters just as much.
