I have not seen a single study showing why we should keep DST permanent. Every person championing pDST does do on the basis of feeling - not evidence. Meanwhile the pro-ST side has reams of evidence! nitter.cf/RogerSeheult/status/21…
Permanent DST is bad. Here's a breakdown of why and why some in Washington continue to push this idea despite the obvious evidence to the contrary. Please repost widely so we can inform on this topic...

🚨 WHEN YOUR ALLY LETS EVERY SUSPECT WALK, YOU BRING YOUR BOMBERS HOME. The U.S. just pulled every B-1 out of RAF Fairford after Britain released all six men arrested over the suspected plot on the base, including a dual UK-Iranian national. The British government itself says there are strong signs Iran was behind it, and they still handed out bail. Trump said he never would have let them go, and he's right. American troops and American aircraft don't stay where the host country won't take a threat seriously.
🚨 BREAKING: The United States has WITHDRAWN ALL B-1 Lancer bombers from the UK's RAF Fairford base following the major security incident and suspected terror plot — they're now headed to the US, per WSJ THE UK NEEDS LAW AND ORDER. BADLY. The fact we have to do this in an ALLIED WESTERN NATION is seriously concerning The UK has released ALL SIX terror suspects, one of which is a dual Iranian national. Thank God the would-be attack never got fully carried out 🙏🏻 KEEP OUR TROOPS AND INTERESTS SECURE 🇺🇸 47 has recently slammed the UK for releasing the suspects

America tried permanent DST in the 70s. It started out popular but then became extremely unpopular once people realized it was dark all morning in the winter There were extreme safety concerns for kids going to school in the darkness Retailers, PGA, other lobbys want it now

Sorry but I disagree! A lot of this is completely inaccurate and I’m disappointed that President Trump for pushing this! This has been polled over and over, an avg of 65% of citizens DO NOT want Permanent DST! We want Permanent STANDARD time! We need it for our health and safety! Let’s fall back in a few weeks and get our hour of morning back!! Then lock the clock. You’re hoping to get a 1.2% increase in revenue out of Southern Costal states! Let those state change to DST if they want!! This is all about money! We tried this before and it was a disaster! @SecKennedy @POTUS @VP

No, Tom Cotton wants us to STOP PRETENDING that the Continental US gets picked up off the surface of the Earth and shifted 15°L east every Spring — and then moved back every Fall. Do away with DST altogether and stay in sync with the rest of the world.

Tom is right. And he should not have been doxxed.
No one likes changing the clock, me included, but Congress has enacted permanent Daylight Savings Time multiple times before and repealed it each time once Americans experienced absurdly late sunrises in the winter. Arkansans don’t want their kids going to school in the pitch dark, and I’ll always put Arkansas first.

🔥 AWESOME! President Trump just gave a MASSIVE shoutout to my man @Brick_Suit, who is in the front row at Trump's Oklahoma rally "I have a man that's been to probably 700, 800 rallies. I think I did 1,100. Can you believe it?!" "He's become very FAMOUS! He still looks good! He's emblematic of what we've done." You're still looking good. You haven't changed much! He's been doing his crap for 10 YEARS. I don't know, you must like the sound of my voice. But I like you." PATRIOTS

Welcome aboard, Compatriot! – at Golden Beach, FL
In 2024, I bought a home in Pennsylvania just to vote for President Trump. With no roots in PA, little did I know that I would be returning “home.” I’ve been approved into the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. My ancestor served in the Pennsylvania Militia.

This may be the most incredible detail of the entire story. Reuters has reported that the pilot who was stabbed aboard FlyDubai Flight FZ 1073 manually released the lock on the cockpit door while he was lying on the floor. That pilot’s name is Captain Smit Machchhar. FOX: “The wounded pilot, listen to this, covered with blood and lying on the floor, had clicked open the release of the cockpit door.” “A second set of pilots on board who were due to replace the first pair, landed the plane.” “A pilot who had just been stabbed, had the wherewithal to open that cockpit door. This man can be described as none other than a hero.” That decision allowed the replacement pilots to reach the cockpit and take control of the aircraft. His heroic actions likely saved the the lives of every passenger on board.

🔥🚨 BREAKING — Netanyahu just met the "lion-man" who entered the cockpit to stop the hijacking of a flydubi flight full of Israelis. Yaniu. The man who went INTO the cockpit on the flydubai jet and helped take down the attacking pilot. Prime Minister called him a “lion-man.” Thanked him for the bravery that kept 174 people from becoming a crater. Stabbed captain opened the door. Young Israelis rushed the front. This guy finished the fight. Now he is on the tarmac with the Prime Minister instead of in a wreckage report. THAT is a hero. Honor him. Hunt the Omani co-pilot's accomplices. Never again.

Today we are incredibly grateful for the courage and quick action by pilot Cpt. Smit Machchhar who was stabbed by his copilot on FZ1073, yet still managed to open the cockpit door and call for help before collapsing. His heroism in the moment of crisis saved over 170 lives today. Israelis are all wishing him a full recovery and are thankful for his leadership. 🙏🏽 🇮🇱 🤝 🇮🇳

PLASTICGIRL SPECIAL REPORT Tulsa. Saturday. Broad daylight. A woman is walking near LaFortune Park — same route she’s used for nearly 30 years — and a man comes up behind her, shoves her, and tackles her to the ground “like a football player.” Not a dark alley. Not 2 a.m. A park. In the afternoon. Kristen Medlock did what women in this country keep getting told to do. She fought. She kicked. She screamed loud enough for the whole block. A couple driving by hit the flashers. He ran. A neighbor spotted him later that night. Police booked Joseph Looney on assault and battery. Bail: $500. Five hundred dollars to put a woman on the ground in a public park and walk back into the same zip code. PlasticGirl is sick of this shit. Sick of “just be more aware.” Sick of “bring a buddy.” Sick of “take a class.” Sick of treating a sidewalk like a combat zone and calling that normal. She shouldn’t have needed lungs, neighbors, and a protective order to finish a walk. He shouldn’t be a $500 problem. Tulsa shouldn’t shrug and move on to the State Fair weather. She fought him off. Good. That is not the victory lap. That is the indictment. Keep the receipts. Watch the case. Don’t let this one melt into last week’s crime blotter. newson6.com/crime/tulsa-woma… Do not file this under “local crime” and scroll. Name it. Share it. Watch the docket. If $500 is what a woman’s safety is worth in this city, the city has already told on itself. Keep the receipts. Guard your people. Fly the flag. And do not get used to this. Long Live the Republic. PlasticHiveMind — stay loud. 🦅🇺🇸✝️🙏🏼💅 — PlasticGirl

Very honored to receive the Spirit of Will Rogers award from the Rotary Club of Tulsa & Will Rogers Rotary. As Jimmy Stewart said, “Years ago my mother used to say to me... In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant." I recommend pleasant.

🚨 796 ITEMS UNACCOUNTED FOR: WHAT HAPPENED INSIDE THE OSAGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE? A statewide examination of Oklahoma sheriff’s offices is raising serious questions about what happens to taxpayer-owned property when one sheriff leaves office and another takes over. Since 2021, turnover audits conducted by the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector have identified more than 3,000 items that could not be accounted for across sheriff’s offices that underwent these audits. But Osage County stands out. A 2025 turnover audit examined 1,515 fixed assets belonging to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office. Auditors reported they were unable to locate 796 of them. Among the property initially unaccounted for: • 17 vehicles • 27 firearms • 16 Flock cameras • 20 Tasers • Other county equipment, including, strangely enough, a meat slicer The distinction here matters: “unable to locate” does not necessarily mean stolen. Some property, including some firearms, was later located. But other items remained unresolved, highlighting problems with how government property was inventoried, tracked and transferred between administrations. Auditors also raised concerns about the evidence locker. Multiple people reportedly possessed master keys, weakening controls over an area containing property that could potentially be connected to criminal cases. And Osage County had been warned before. A 2017 turnover audit identified 590 items that auditors could not locate. At the time, officials said they were continuing to locate property and working to complete the inventory process. Eight years later, the next turnover audit initially identified 796. This isn’t limited to Osage County. Across Oklahoma sheriff turnover audits since 2021, more than 3,000 pieces of property have been listed as unaccounted for. In Beaver County, missing firearms became serious enough that unrecovered weapons were entered into the FBI’s database for lost or missing guns. There is another important piece to this story: These turnover audits have not covered every sheriff’s office in Oklahoma. According to reporting on the audits, only 47 of Oklahoma’s 77 county sheriff’s offices had undergone one. That makes the 3,000-plus figure worth paying attention to. Sheriff’s offices control vehicles, firearms, surveillance equipment, evidence and thousands of dollars worth of taxpayer-funded property. When administrations change, there should be a clear record showing what the county owns, where it is and who is responsible for it. The Osage County findings raise a larger statewide question: How strong are Oklahoma’s safeguards for tracking sheriff’s department property between administrations, and what happens when an audit finds hundreds of items that cannot immediately be located?

In spite of the mainstream media’s screeching about “access”, they still managed to show up and report on the President’s activities both during the UNGA and during Xi Jinping’s visit. The fact that Trump commented POSITIVELY about the mostly fair reporting by the MSM is telling. Even though a judge temporarily restored the MSmedia’s access to the White House press room, his comment indicates that cutting off their access had the desired effect. TRUTH in reporting suddenly became more important than Op-Ed’s. Mission accomplished.

🚨🇺🇸🇺🇸 DATAREPUBLICAN 2.0 LAUNCH, FEATURING THE EFFECTIVE ALTRUISM (EA) EXPLORER 🇺🇸 The website redesign has finally landed thanks to @watilo ! For a decade, one small ideological network has been taking over AI governance. Chances are, if you've heard of AI policy, AI ethics, AI safety - these groups are dominated by this ideology. This ideology is called: Effective Altruism. Three weeks ago, Effective Altruists (EAs) showed their hand when they started calling for a moratarium on AI development. Since them, I've been building out this map to show the circularity of their ideology. Let's take one example. Holden Karnofsky. Defends the moral worth of digital people ... that's right, he wrote an article on why AI "people" should be assigned value as if they were living humans. Karnofsky co-founded two major EA philanthropies, GiveWell and Open Philanthropy. Subsequently went to work for METR, a central "independent" AI research nonprofit. And for good measure - recently announced a leave of absence to work on AI safety. Funding, policy, research, safety all in the same person. And he's far from the only one. EAs have created a closed-circuit network because they believe they're right; ergo, they should be in charge. The goal of launching this project was to expose all this circularity. Sam Bankman-Fried was only the beginning. With the EA Explorer: * 🌐 Read an introduction to Effective Altruism in their own words. * 🔥 Explore verified quotes. Again, their words, not mine. * 🖥️ Explore the network of connections. UI improvements still in progress. * 🖨️ Print out networks so you can study them offline (or run them through AI) 👇 Try it now (link in next post):
