Classic example of a designer more interested in showing-off rather than in designed something people can use...
Struggling to understand why this new #flooring was considered a good idea for the ladies #toilets in our local theatre #WGC. Why choose something so obviously disorientating? Anyone w a #visual impairment, vertigo or #dementia would have a real issue.#publictoilets #care #design

Great comment - is it really that hard to make swimming pools friendly for anyone who is not very steady on their feet?

Great description of #dementia from the wonderful writer @WendyPMitchell
Dementia affects us all differently I can type as though dementia never enetered my world because that part of my brain isn’t broken. I was always creative with words, never this open but always creative.😊 Many things I can’t do but I concentrate on the CAN🤗

Why we’re watching more TV about #dementia, from The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes to Prunella Scales’ adventure. Research shows 32% of people in Britain will eventually get dementia. Finally, our TV schedules are catching up with reality. #Alzheimers inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/…

Seems amazing that with all the talk about inclusivity a guide like this didn't exist until now...

This is why I like working in technology. Getting it to do little things that have a big impact is great!

Interesting seeing tweets coming out of #ss19adass. This is one example. I see solution will only come with lots of organisations and individuals working together like a big collective "hug" for people living with #dementia.
At #ss19adass cj_dinenage talking down expectations of green paper, it won’t be a panacea, many of the solutions are outside of the health & care system.
