If you ever volunteer at a food pantry, it's nice to feel like you're helping someone. Except, when you are still volunteering five years later, serving the same people over and over again, there should come the realization that you are not helping anyone to eat. You are simply feeding them.

Why are we paying the USPS to deliver what seems like nothing but junk mail, only to turn around and pay the city trash service to haul it off to a landfill? We’re literally paying to have trash delivered to our house—and then paying again to get rid of it.

It’s already happening. Start paying attention around you when you drive. I just sat at a red light, and out of the 6 cars that were around me, 4 were teslas.
On the other side? 3 out of 5 were teslas.
Everyone today that’s telling you they’d never buy a Tesla are the same people who wouldn’t give up their blackberry.

Tomorrow, October 4th, will mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of Texas A&M to classes. It was on October 4, 1876, that the doors opened to students ... of whom there were only six. I found a rough timeline of enrollment numbers in an old Battalion article:
October 4, 1876: 6 students
December 25, 1876: 35 students
February 14, 1877: 48 students
June 26, 1877: 106 students
It appears that things started slowly, but that tiny institution on the Brazos hasn't remained small: A&M reported 62,543 undergraduate students for the fall of 2025.
