They are tough for everybody, mostly, but for survivors of the sort of things that are being mocked by the lowest class of politicians the GOP has ever sent on to the field (and that is saying something), I would imagine they are almost excruciatingly unbearable. Yet, time and again, we see stalwarts everywhere, bearing it with an elegant grace and imperturbable class. Most of my true heroes in this life have been women. In my experience, they have borne most of the brunt of an often broken society, but somehow managed to move it forward anyway. Progress often walks hand-in-hand with the persecuted. Misogyny and mediocrity are no match for our mothers. A society that fails to recognize this continues to suffer; we can look to places like Afghanistan and much of the Middle East for examples of the misguided and downright medieval. Extreme but not alone in their ignorance and abhorrent behavior. We are a country that literally burnt women at the stake. It was not all that long ago in the macro sense of time. You can tell Russia is stoking the unrest in France because Donald Trump repeats the clips it creates and it feeds the Far Right in Europe. When social media was created Putin saw it for the weapon it truly was first, so did Kusher & Co. that is why POTUS is a Kremlin asset.

“Lindsey Graham spent the last year of his life gathering support for the eponymous bipartisan Act which Trump killed before taking the stage at Mar-a-Lago and hosting another RNC fundraiser. (Money that he mostly keeps for himself and spends on his party miserly, making the billionaires who benefit from his corruption foot the bill for their corrupt candidates). Elon Musk alone has spent $158 million on the Texas Senate race to support the execrable and vehemently corrupt Ken Paxton. Of course, the spineless GOP will clap and cheer like trained seals as Trump essentially spits on the grave of Lindsey Graham while foisting Lindsey’s unqualified sister, Darline, on the United States Senate. Her recent performance at a Judiciary Committee hearing, attacking Jack Smith with debunked MAGA talking points, proved in Trump’s eyes she is a dog that will hunt -defending her deceased brother’s legislative legacy will be the furthest thing from her mediocre mind should she win his seat for a full term. Hopefully the people of South Carolina will prevent such an atrocity. We live in a country of cowards festooned with crosses claiming to be patriots. Real bravery seems lost in this age of idiocy, at least if you only skim the headlines.
