Trust me, you’ll find this really interesting (and maybe infuriating). In Afghanistan, poppy fields have been destroyed due to a ban on its cultivation and sale by the Taliban. Before the Taliban came to power on August 15, 2021 , poppy cultivation and trade was one of the country's main problems. Opium produced in Afghanistan accounted for 80-85% of the world's supply. In April 2022, not long after the US withdrawal the Taliban announced a ban on poppy cultivation. Heroin Production in Afghanistan since 1995. • 1995: ~2,300 tonnes • 1996: ~2,250 tonnes • 1997: ~2,800 tonnes • 1998: ~2,700 tonnes • 1999: ~4,600 tonnes • 2000: ~3,300 tonnes Then, suddenly in 2001 the Taliban banned the cultivation of poppies for the production of opium. In 2001, under that ban, heroin production fell to a historic low - 185 tonnes. • 2002: ~3,400 tonnes • 2003: ~3,600 tonnes • 2004: ~4,200 tonnes • 2005: ~4,100 tonnes • 2006: ~6,100 tonnes • 2007: ~8,200 tonnes • 2008: ~7,700 tonnes • 2009: ~6,900 tonnes • 2010: ~3,600 tonnes • 2011: ~5,800 tonnes • 2012: ~3,700 tonnes • 2013: ~5,500 tonnes • 2014: ~6,400 tonnes • 2015: ~3,300 tonnes • 2016: ~4,800 tonnes • 2017: ~9,000 tonnes • 2018: ~6,400 tonnes • 2019: ~6,400 tonnes • 2020: ~6,300 tonnes • 2021: ~6,800 tonnes • 2022: ~6,200 tonnes US forces withdraw from Afghanistan. And the Taliban retake control. Instantly banning the production of opium. • 2023: ~330 tonnes • 2024: ~430 tonnes • 2025: ~300 tonnes Coincidentally, these are the year on year gross opioid sales of Purdue Pharma (owned by the Sackler family of Tel Aviv) during a similar period - that which records are available for. • 1996: $7 million • 1997: $18 million • 1998: $38 million • 1999: $60 million • 2000: $76 million The US invasion of Afghanistan happened half way through 2001, and we see almost a doubling every subsequent year after that until 2008 when the increase in year in year sales slows as it begins to reach a saturation point. • 2001: $136 million • 2002: $192 million • 2003: $310 million • 2004: $506 million • 2005: $716 million • 2006: $752 million • 2007: $708 million • 2008: $1.10 billion • 2009: $1.46 billion • 2010: $1.27 billion • 2011: $1.36 billion • 2012: $1.28 billion • 2013: $1.57 billion • 2014: $1.97 billion • 2015: $1.99 billion • 2016: $1.69 billion • 2017: $1.50 billion So tell me: why did we invade Afghanistan, again? Who benefited? Who profited? WHO paid? Who suffered? And who restored order at the end of it all? Fun fact: Q: Do you know who runs the most successful (long term success) drug rehabilitation program in the world? A: The Taliban. (They really have lied to us about everything. Like they never miss an opportunity to not tell us the truth).

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. In 1964, the United States destroyed Brazilian democracy. João Goulart was the democratically elected president. His crime was a reform agenda: Eradicate illiteracy. Let the poor and the illiterate vote. Force multinationals to reinvest their profits inside Brazil. And redistribute land from the hereditary landlords to the rural poor. Schools. Ballots. Land. Washington called it communism. JFK's first secretly taped Oval Office meeting — ever — was about Brazil. On that tape he asked: "What kind of liaison do we have with the military?" A year later: "We've got to do something about Brazil." Then: "Do you see a situation where we might find it desirable to intervene militarily ourselves?" He ordered American aid strangled to "put the screws" on Goulart. Robert Kennedy flew to Brasília to deliver the ultimatum in person, telling Goulart he could not criticize the United States "and at the same time get 250 million dollars from the United States. He can't have it both ways." American aid was never assistance. It was a leash. The CIA poured millions into opposition parties, newspapers, labor unions and landowner groups. Ambassador Lincoln Gordon drew up contingency plans with "a heavy emphasis on armed intervention." And here is the part that tells you this was never about security. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, Goulart served as a secret back channel between Kennedy and Castro, helping prevent nuclear war. Washington overthrew him anyway. JFK was assassinated before he could act. Johnson did not hesitate. Three days before the coup, National Security Advisor McGeorge Bundy said: "We should not be worrying that the military will react; we should be worrying that the military will not react." And in the same meeting: "We don't want to watch Brazil dribble down the drain while we stand around waiting for the next election." On March 31, 1964, Johnson gave the order: "I think we ought to take every step that we can, be prepared to do everything that we need to do." The Pentagon launched Operation Brother Sam. The aircraft carrier USS Forrestal, six destroyers, and fuel tankers steamed toward Santos to resupply the coup. Goulart fled to Uruguay. Washington recognized the junta within 48 hours. The aid resumed like clockwork. Over 21 years the dictatorship killed or disappeared 434 people, tortured roughly 20,000, and drove tens of thousands into exile. Brazil did not hold another presidential election for 25 years. Now look at 2026. The hereditary landlord class that Washington armed in 1964 is the same landlord class that funded the Bolsonaro dynasty. Lula wants Brazil's rare earths kept out of Pentagon supply chains. He wants Petrobras to stay public. He wants BRICS to break the dollar's chokehold. So the empire sent the same weapons, updated. Fifty percent tariffs instead of a naval task force. Meta censorship instead of CIA cash. AI disinformation instead of paid newspapers. In 1964 they won. In 2026, 64 million Brazilians voted anyway. The empire never changed its mind about who owns Latin America. Latin America simply stopped asking permission.

This video is not from Gaza. It is from the West Bank After forcing thousands of Palestinians out of their homes in al-Khalil, the Israeli army demolished their family homes.
⚡️West Bank sources: Last night, the Israeli army kicked more than 400 Palestinian families out of their homes in a neighborhood of al-Khalil, detained some of them, occupied their homes, and raised Israeli flags over them. The families were not allowed to take their belongings, except for a few basic items.

I visited the first Gaza Holocaust Memorial in the US Every American city should host the Wall of Tears We paid for this genocide and should reckon with it for eternity
The Grayzone's Max Blumenthal visits the Wall of Tears in Dearborn, Michigan This heart-rending visual display memorializes the over 18,500 children killed by the Israeli military in the besieged Gaza Strip between October 7, 2023 and July 2025 Blumenthal reads the names and ages of several of these children, and places their lives in the broader context of Gaza's occupation, siege and genocide at the hands of the state of Israel

I have seen enough to say it with absolute certainty: the Israeli army is the most depraved army.
A horrific video shows an Israeli soldier assaulting a Palestinian child in the village of Al-Ygheer, near Ramallah in the West Bank, during an Israeli army raid on the village today.

Jewish-US orthopedic surgeon Mark Perlmutter, who worked in Gaza, recounted that Israeli soldiers took two Palestinian children, tied their hands behind their backs, & buried them alive at Nasir hospital... their cries muffled by the dirt poured over them.

The oil market is a mechanism for transferring wealth. This is not controversial. Every financial market is, among other things, a mechanism for transferring wealth between those with better information and those with worse information. Between those who can shape events and those who can only react to them. When a sitting president can move oil futures by 3 percent with a social media post, when that post's content is fabricated, when there are no actual negotiations, when the deadline has no operational backing, when the whole structure is a performance, the wealth transfer is not incidental. It is the point. Three percent of the daily oil futures market is an enormous number. The positions that benefit from that movement are not held by retired teachers and working families with index funds. They are held by funds, by institutional investors, by people with enough capital to take a significant position before the statement and exit it after the move. Every time Trump runs this play, money moves from the less informed to the more informed. Every time. And the mechanism that is supposed to prevent this, securities regulation, market manipulation law, the institutional oversight that applies to every other participant in financial markets, has not been applied to the sitting POTUS doing it openly, repeatedly, on a weekly cycle. If a hedge fund manager published fabricated news about Iranian negotiations to move oil futures, they would be in federal court. When Trump does it, it's called foreign policy. The law has a name for what this is. The question is whether anyone with authority will ever say the name out loud.
