The market reaction to the Budget is good. 10 year and 30 year borrowing down, ££ stable , FTSE up Ignore the pantomime of Reform and the Tories - this was what was needed to settle nerves and to work toward Spending Review changes

Lots of reasons but I think, especially in Europe the British right has an almost pathological dislike of the young and and a borderline fetish for the old. People complain about boomers all over but I think here it’s at the next level, every policy the right has ever put forward fucks the youth over, they talk about us with contempt at every opportunity.

Utterly convinced the "I love winter and the clocks going back. Give me cosy nights under warm blankets with a pumpkin spice hot chocolate with rain lashing the windows and a £700 gas bill" people are just people who don't leave the house and they like feeling less bad about it.

People of SW Devon, here is your MP complaining about making life less frustrating and unfair for you. Might be worth thinking about next time there's an election.

Most people in France can't afford housing. They didn't blame immigrants, or transgender people, or video games, or avocado toast. They blame the government. Because that's who's responsible. That's always who's responsible.
