The Mistral CEO, confirmed that a mysterious model called ‘Miqu’ that neared GPT-4 performance posted on HuggingFace was leaked.
The model is said to be a fine-tune of Meta's open-source Llama-2.

An over-enthusiastic employee of one of our early access customers leaked a quantised (and watermarked) version of an old model we trained and distributed quite openly.
To quickly start working with a few selected customers, we retrained this model from Llama 2 the minute we got access to our entire cluster — the pretraining finished on the day of Mistral 7B release.

Most people don’t realize how fast the robotics industry is scaling
Amazon is the perfect candidate.
10 years ago, robots were practically non-existent in their global warehouse and distribution network.
But this is the actual acceleration ramp-up.
2013: 1,000
2014: 15,000
2017: 100,000
2019: 200,000
2021: 350,000
2022: 520,000
2023: 750,000
Let’s zoom in on the two last jumps.
400,000 additional robotic units in roughly two years.
That results in thousand of new units deployed *every week* 🚀
It’s clear. Beyond doubt. That AI, robotics, computer vision, will and is replacing a lot of human labor. And will continue accelerating that progress in the next decade.
It’s important to note that this will also accelerate the need for more high-skilled work. Make industry safer.
The biggest challenge we will face is the grandeur of re-skilling and up-skilling that will be facing the workforce in a relative short period of time ahead.
We’ve entered the Era of Robotics and The Age of Intelligence all at once.

I am a huge Whisper fan (it's the system that listens to your voice and writes text transcripts).
And how it's 6x faster? Nuts.
Try using it in a noisy situation (I tried it at a wedding dance party and it understood me even with very loud music and the microphone two feet from my mouth).
Most underrated thing OpenAI does, IMO.
A team just made OpenAI Whisper 6x faster, 49% smaller, while keeping 99% of the accuracy.
The model is already available on the HuggingFace Transformers library:
