Poucas pessoas até hoje me perguntaram de onde vem esse carinho, respeito e devoção que eu tenho pelo presidente Lula. Creio que nem ele mesmo sabe de onde vem. Então vou contar aqui de forma resumida: eu nasci muito pobre, filho de uma empregada doméstica, e por várias vezes a vida quis me fazer desistir, porém nesses momentos eu lembrava de um certo migrante nordestino, que nasceu na miséria, passou fome e decidiu mudar o país levando o povo pobre e o povo trabalhador a ser tratado com dignidade, através de inúmeras politicas publicas. Mas o curioso é que eu nunca fui beneficiário de nenhuma dessas políticas públicas, eu fui beneficiário da esperança que esse homem fez brotar em mim. É possível quantificar a quantidade de pessoas beneficiadas pelo que ele implementou, mas jamais teremos a dimensão de quantos ele permitiu sonhar!
Feliz aniversário presidente Lula, que Deus continue abençoando o senhor e dando longa vida pra que o senhor continue cuidando do nosso povo! O Brasil parabeniza e reverencia o seu filho mais ilustre!

When Bolsonaro was disgracefully invited as Chief Guest for our Republic Day Parade in 2020, several of us in Mumbai held a protest at Churchgate Station against an abandonment of “Indian values” by a government that turned a blind eye to his environmental destruction, his homophobia, his deep links to organised crime.
“Aarey, Amazon, queer ladhai, Modi-Bolsonaro bhai bhai” was the slogan coined at that protest. Today, as the son of one far-right bigot bites the dust in Brazil, much to the relief of so many who were terrorised under his father’s last regime, there is hope reignited for change across the world.
Congratulations, Comeback King @LulaOficial. Here’s hoping we can invite you to a Republic Day Parade in New Delhi soon.

50+ students have died on IIT campuses. A student's parents are on a hunger strike for justice against a prof who didnt follow establish protocol. Instead of working transparently & introspecting its casteist culture-- IIT Bombay & Police detained activists & protestors violently & hassled the parents.
When institutions become more important than students. When people dont ask what is structurally wrong & instead caste-shame a dead student & his grieving parents-- you know you are in a morally dead society. No high-fancy rhetoric can rebrand or rescue it.
