@imad_mkdm is bad at many things, but focuses on what matters the most. He’s good at creating MRR, and that’s were he focuses

Got this from @ilbert_luca who just moved to london.
@steipete don't know if Luca told you, but we are launching @thejfloor in Zurich to give space to builders to build the next big European companies (for free, no strings attached).
We would love to have you here. Anything we can do to make it happen?

Zurich builds. There's something crazy happening this year. Efforts are snowballing and I believe we are about to witness a cambrian explosion of new tech exports from here. It's still early.
We want to multiply what is brewing already and thats why we built @thejfloor, to give space to ambitious founders & builders in Zurich (for free).
There's the narrative that Europe does not innovate and we want to debunk it. We also think that we should become better at communicating and showing the world before we "feel ready". We want to see more people building cool stuff, and showing the world what they do.
I believe @andreasklinger is doing a great job at this, so when I found out he's in town, I wanted to show him the start of @thejfloor (some of us sat in camping chairs, which we put in front of @DominiqueCAPaul's robot).
I have more to say, but all in due time. For now head down and keep building.

At the start of 2024/25, I was asking what kind of company I could successfully build.
Last year, that became a better question: what do I care about enough that the outcome doesn’t determine whether it was worth doing?
I keep coming back to how we in Europe think about and use AI.
Robotic AI is where I see the real leverage, and building a company is my way of acting on that.
But one constraint in Europe is cultural: we’re often too hesitant to share work before it’s polished.
So I want to do the opposite and build more transparently in the AI and robotics space.
I’m shifting my Substack a bit and will be posting monthly build updates. This is the first one, covering January.
