It’s irresponsible to say “missions bad” because it became some kind of accessory for modern middle class suburban “churches
If “mission work” is defined here as sending people to a foreign country for a week to build a house - I agree
But that’s not [necessarily] biblical missions
Foreign missions and local missions are commanded and demonstrated in the Bible
All the missionaries I know personally have lived abroad for decades, have very small support from dozens or hundreds of churches, speak the local language, live and breathe and dedicate their lives to the people of that country
For the record, our of the dozen or so missionary families I personally know, none have alcoholic kids – at Wallace, FL
Mission work in the 21st century is a bad scene. Almost no one doing it has their own life & community under control. It’s escapism.
I was at a church where they spent an entire service allowing this couple make a presentation about their 6 months doing mission work in some town in sub Saharan Africa. The typical little African town scenes and tropes - just so ridiculous. Meanwhile, their daughter is at home is in rehab for alcoholism and is suicidal. The story was gross.
All my normie friends who raved about Chat GPT and Claude don’t even know that Muse and Grokbot exist
Which is insane to me because they are 1000x more exciting than chat LLM ever was
I’m on free plans automating 90% of my grunt work, it’s life changing
One of the most surreal experiences of my life was visiting the Dakota Badlands in the dead of winter.
No birds, no bugs, no planes, no cars, no wind - nothing but the sound of my feet crunching on the snow.
I’m not sure I ever experienced true silence before that moment.
If you’re above 110 IQ, silicone ear plugs are a certified performance enhancer. You have no idea how much constant background noise is frying the finer faculties of your brain.
Life for most of history was eerily quiet. I’m talking 1/1000th the amount of sensory inputs.
Your hunter gatherer brain is attuned pick up on the most minute disturbances. Footsteps, snapping twig, burrowing rabbit etc.
Now it inundated with constant road noise, humming appliances, and 3-5 different languages being spoken at your local coffee shop.
Tune it all out. It’s like a big hug for your nervous system
I remember browsing this shop as a teen. There was a movie poster for Jungle Book framed for $100 that I couldnt afford but desperately wanted.
Disney (much like everything) has stripped away any unique experience like this in recent years.
Inside Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind Shop, which opened with Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, guests could browse authentic Hollywood memorabilia, including studio publicity photographs, movie posters, costumes, props, and celebrity autographs.
Among the decorations were five framed autographed photographs that were not for sale, each dedicated "To Sid." Documented in 2011, the collection included Russell Johnson (the Professor from "Gilligan's Island"), Adam West (television's Batman), Al Lewis (Grandpa Munster), Cher, and actor Danny Dillon dressed as Sid Cahuenga himself.
Although Sid was a fictional Hollywood memorabilia collector created by Disney Imagineers, Dillon brought the character to life at the park for approximately 16 years, until his death in 2005.
According to the shop's backstory, Sid sometimes allowed Hollywood celebrities to pay for merchandise with autographs instead of cash, which he subsequently framed and resold at higher prices. The original shop closed in November 2013 and was repurposed for guest services, later serving as a Disney PhotoPass location.
🚨 Pentagon Just Admitted Bitcoin is a U.S. Military Power-Projection Weapon Against China
In a House Armed Services Committee hearing, Rep. Lance Gooden pressed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on whether Bitcoin can serve as a strategic tool for national power.
Hegseth’s reply was blunt: “Yes and yes.”
He confirmed Bitcoin provides real strategic leverage over China and other adversaries… and revealed the Pentagon is already running classified initiatives both to enable and to counter the technology.
It lines up with earlier military experiments testing Bitcoin nodes for hardened, censorship-resistant communications and cybersecurity, plus the 2025 executive order that created a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
Interestingly, CIA Casually admitted that Bitcoin Is Used As A Surveillance Tool: “Bitcoin isn’t truly anonymous… it’s a TOOL we use for intel gathering.”
We were at a car show over the weekend and there was a drawing for a Yeti cooler.
I told my wife to enter it, I had this feeling that we could win.
Because someone has to win and if finding out is free, why wouldn’t you find out.
This is like the “rejection challenge”
There is a lot of opportunity on the table for people who are willing to find out
Why are 11 year olds having trouble sleeping?
2 unrelated medical observations:
1. Last week, a friend's 11 yr old grandson woke up w/stomach problems, stomach got distended, passed out. EMS said he'd had a heart attack. When he got to hospital they said he'd be ok.
He had very high magnesium levels. He had been "eating magnesium gummies to help him sleep." I don't know how many or for how long.
He had more heart attacks and died that day.
Such a tragedy! I googled it, and other kids have died after eating magnesium gummies.
2. Also last week, I accompanied a 30-year old friend to the ER for chest pain.
Not one person the whole time asked this person if she'd had Covid vaccine(s), let alone how many, which kind, and when--all this should be standard screening.
Additionally, they should ask when her last known bout of Covid was, and collect and report all that info to the federal database so we can rule in and rule out adverse events, help prevent them, and develop treatments.
(She turned out to be okay.)
There is 0 evidence that dinosaurs do not exist today.
In order to prove that no dinosaurs were alive, you would have to be able to know everything or be everywhere at once.
This is not possible, therefore
Dinosaurs could very well roam the earth in certain locations
There are many remote areas with lore that support this possibility
Strange sighting from my helicopter while traveling back from Skinwalker Ranch…
There is a very remote hidden lake in the High Uintahs with reports of a prehistoric lake creature that survived. When I was first told of this place years ago, it was with a story that the Native Americans referred to the location as “Dinosaur Lake”.
On our first pass flying over the lake it was absolutely still…but on our second pass, we were totally caught off guard by huge sudden movement in the lake and a fast moving trail in its wake.
Upon turning the helicopter around, we saw another movement & trailing wake on the other side of the lake - it appears there were potentially two of “them”.
My brother & pilot Cameron Fugal and I remained intrigued. Here’s the video:
I’ve got this vague sense that something is happening
Something, somewhere
It has nothing to do with my 18 hrs / day doomscrolling FUD btw
Totally organic feeling of unease
No.
We all died in 2014.
Everything since has been a computer simulation.
The project was abandoned in 2021.
The software responsible for generating new experiences has been left running unattended, and most of it is just looping now.
The schizophrenics and those who exist closest to the boundaries of their own consciousness felt it first.
A kind of collective psychosis has been spreading ever since.
You can see examples of it everywhere.
People are genuinely going insane.
Doesn't it feel like the same song has been playing on repeat for years?
Like someone is slowly turning up the volume on the background noise?
The same conversations. The same people. The same events, rearranged into slightly different configurations.
It is accelerating.
Nothing feels entirely new anymore.
And if you concentrate hard enough, you can still remember the exact moment you died.

The only true measure of IQ is working memory.
You can’t change my mind.
One profound cause of our modern tech making us dumber is the atrophy of our ability to hold multiple ideas in our mind at one time.
Asking people to repeat digits backwards is a surprisingly good measure of intelligence (IQ).
For example, look away from your screen and repeat backwards 73259. Can you do it?
Backward digit span demands active mental manipulation, not just memorisation, which raises its difficulty.
It seems basic, but the cognitive demands track well with IQ.
