Grateful to be in the timeline where: @Apple decided to be ass'ho about @heyhey... which led to @dhh upending his comfortable, 20+ year love affair with the Apple ecosystem... which led to him trying @Windows for a hot minute... which led him to @ubuntu where he made Omakub... which led him to Arch and @hyprwm... which led to @OmarchyLinux v1, then v2, v3... and now Quattro... None of this happens without Apple doing what they did AND of course, AI. And this was not without it's trials and tribulations once @dhh came to linux! Many many neckbeards lamented @OmarchyLinux when it first arrived! "oMaRChY iS nOt a DiStRooooo!!" "It's just arch and hyprland and bloatware!" "You can't write a bunch of bash scripts and call it a distro!" It didn't matter. The community came together and got to work building. The neckbeards were focused on BEING right... the community was focused on DOING right! I have been using Omarchy since it was a command line installer and I've watched and participated in the enthusiasm, fun and LOVE of computers along with everyone else! @typecraft_dev, @ThePrimeagen, etc. It's been such a blast! And now here we are... hours away from some kind of insane announcement. I can't wait! Everything came together in such a magnificent way and now it feels like @OmarchyLinux is about to take a big bite out of Apple's market share, and probably Microsoft's too! Once developers understand what it's like to have their agents embedded in their machines... machines that have REALLY FAST I/O, and can move thousands of small files way faster than they could on MacOS and Windows... When they can just ASK their computer to do something and it does it? Like Iron Man and JARVIS??? You guys... Apple tried to STRONGARM @dhh, @jasonfried, and the @37signals team. And that did the one thing that you don't want to do to those guys... they pissed them off! Only after a massive internet PR backlash did they relent. But it was too late. It was that event that sowed the seeds of what's to come. They are not ready for what's coming. You can see it in @dhh's eyes. I'm not going to call it bloodthirst. This quest isn't about revenge. But if you look at it that way for just a moment, it is very satisfying. No, it is UNBOUND determination and passion. And he's infected all of us with the same energy! Developers, designers, builders... LOVERS OF COMPUTERS! Join us!
