Remember when absolutely everyone swore that Jason Momoa was born to be Lobo and that he would be more successful than Aquaman as the character AND no one gives a fuck about Lobo now?
Because it’s not meaningful or impactful.
On its most basic level what they mean is “I remember feeling sad when he died (because something funny/endearing happened with him earlier)”
Snyder’s Superman is never funny so they don’t feel sad he’s gone. People are very simple.
My wife thinks I’m crazy but the rise in ai and robotics is directly tied to this.
People seemingly crave slave labor but fear resistance and that shows up in our adaption of technology.
The answer is two fold:
1.) Because Molly Alcock is a woman and many people feel like they need to defend her from potential sexism.
2.) shit talking actors/movies that aren’t perceived as problematic looks bad now. You’re only allowed to do that if the lead actor is “bad”

Why are people so hellbent on destroying a young woman’s life&career by bullying her? It’s about being a decent human being. Milly Alcock does not come from a wealthy family&is not a nepo baby. She freaking worked at McDonald’s at 14.She’s worked hard to be met w cruelty.
I honestly say this with all due respect. People should stop going into MCU movies (most CBMs to be honest) expecting any great acting quality from actor’s other projects.
It’s almost never equal.
Speaking of the KKK slaughtering them anyway, I wish that mattered more in the movie.
I feel like a much more interesting 3rd act was left on the table by making the KKK such a non-issue.
You don’t understand, this is a hard R rated body horror movie.
They didn’t fund this $40 million movie with the expectation that it will make money 🙄
What’s really funny is when you actually like movies you don’t have to tell yourself that everything about them is bad just because it’s the general consensus.
These are the physiques of alcoholics
(No judgment, I’d drink everyday too if I worked construction)
So these are clearly bots right?

Plus, it's a horror film; they rarely make a lot of money at the WW box office. It was never intended to make a billion, and it will be lucky if it reaches 400-500. The reason horror is the most successful genre is that they are cheap to make and have a high return on investment.
Everyone’s blaming Rudy (rightfully so in not getting the rebound but he thought it was a foul) but Melo tries to get Rudy involved because everyone else ignores him even with obvious mismatches.
Eventually he’s going to stop trying 🤷🏾♂️
OMFG, THAT IS ONLY IMPRESSIVE IF ITS BUDGET WAS INCREDIBLY HIGH TO BEGIN WITH.
Making $200 million opening weekend is impressive in general. Making $1 million isn’t, even if the budget was $1 million.

"Performing terribly" meanwhile it made its production budget back opening weekend
I think what is very obvious, is that Gunn doesn’t want a “universe” at least not the way fans think of it.
This is perfectly fine for a studio to have this mindset and that could work, given the quality is there to back it up.
I’m going to stop commenting about this movie but seeing people completely change the rules/expectations of major releases is driving me insane.
Since when were horror movies expected to not make money?
$24 million is successful, if the budget was $10 million not $40 million
Replying to @ObjectiveZSF
24 million opening weekend is typical for a successful horror movie. It isn’t trying to be a blockbuster like Morbius was.
Not a good comparison. (I don’t like how dc has been ran but Clayface financially will be good for them).
Yo idiot, R-rated movies are compared to PG-13 movies all the time. It being r-rated doesn’t mean it gets to fail and no one gets to say anything about it.

The movie is going to lose money because it won’t make more than $90 million at box office but people are supposed to call this a success because it made $1 million less than it’s budget?
That makes sense to you?
Despite #Clayface making its entire production budget back on its opening weekend AND having overwhelmingly positive reviews… Somehow there’re still TONS of people deeming it a flop.
Is there a studio that catches more hate online than DC? This is getting a bit ridiculous😂
