Nope, I’m just gonna read the book and stick with the sci-fi channel mini series.

Rewriting feminist tropes into Dune. Is started in the first 2, but he going full steam ahead in Messiah “Denis Villeneuve explicitly considers himself a feminist, and he has openly stated that his upbringing in a feminist environment heavily shapes how he directs movies. When he first sat down with screenwriter Eric Roth to map out the Dune adaptation, Roth asked him to summarize his vision for the entire trilogy in just one word. Villeneuve answered with: "Women." He has made several deliberate choices across the films to lean into this philosophy: 1. Centering the Bene Gesserit: Villeneuve wanted the sisterhood to be the "epicenter" of the narrative. In his view, the way they pull the political strings of the universe from the shadows, using time and influence rather than brute male force, is a brilliant exploration of feminine power. 2. Fleshing out Lady Jessica: In the books, Jessica eventually recedes into the background to let Paul take over. In the films, Villeneuve keeps her terrifyingly active, transforming her into a powerful, master manipulator driving the religious fervor. 3. Gender-swapping Liet-Kynes: In Frank Herbert's original 1965 novel, the imperial planetologist Liet-Kynes is a man. Villeneuve changed the character to a woman (played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster) specifically to balance out the male-dominated hierarchy of the early story. 4. Giving Chani agency: He fundamentally disliked how the original book essentially sidelined Chani into a passive, submissive companion by the end. By turning her into a fierce, skeptical rebel, he gave her the ultimate moral authority in the story. [1] So while Frank Herbert wrote a book that critiqued messiahs, Villeneuve is explicitly using a modern feminist lens to make sure the women aren't just bystanders to Paul's destructive path. And we wonder why men feel lost and hopeless?

Oh. I sure hope I write something one day so beloved that gets made into a movie where they change everything important about it, erasing my hard work and whatever my fanbase treasured.

The last episode fell off. And had less average viewership than Euphoria.
Yep. Lanterns is the top 5 most successful / most watched shows in HBO history. I’m learning that audience score for DC projects needs to be taken with a grain of salt, and will always be lower than the actual score should be. Pathetic people are review bombing every DCU project. Critics scores for every DCU project bar one have been excellent so far. Let’s see what they are for Clayface.

Here is my take: I think Naoki Hamaguchi is getting too much heat over simple things in Final Fantasy VII Revelation especially when it's optional and you can turn it on or off in the settings in Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Most games have settings to give players options. 🫡

Chrono Cross limited your leveling with Star Levels. Suikoden had a "rubber band" system that kept your level stagnant. Tenshi No Uta gave you bonus exp at fixed intervals. Earthbound just killed enemies who were too weak. But sure, let's dogpile FF7 because it's the new fad. Complaining about every.single.little.thing. Is getting real old, real fast.

I'll just leave this here.
Replying to @RazorFist
calling Kojima a failed business manager for what happened at Konami is a insane rewrite. he was the creative driving force, not the guy running the company overall strategy or pushing the pachinko pivot. konami made those calls long after they sidelined him.

This FFXIV Evercold interview with Foxclon and Koji Fox is really insightful and clarifies a lot of stuff we've heard about in both Anaheim and Berlin, and even talks about player housing! I'm even more excited for Evercold! Highly recommend reading! 😍 anitrendz.net/news/2026/09/1…

EVS is actually trying to argue that the Green Power ring( and object that represents light, good, and will power), is akin to the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. Am object infused with evil, and is a corrupting force.

Never forget how Kojima treated David Hayter. After nearly 20 years as the iconic voice of Snake, David was tossed aside the second Kojima saw a chance to get Kiefer Sutherland. Zero loyalty, zero respect—just endless Hollywood clout chasing. The pattern has always been there.

A low IQ monkey will complain about: - FF7 Remake is not turn based. - You have a fast forward feature in the game. - Remake is divided in 3 parts. - Side quests. - Mentions E33 as epitome of turn based game. - Likes Sebbywebz. One of these is enough to identify them.

“LANTERNS EPISODE 3: “Do you understand how unfair it is to ask a black man in America if he’s afraid?” ME: Black men who were already at the top of American society in 1996: Michael Jordan: By 1998, he was making about $34 million in salary alone, plus enormous endorsement income. Magic Johnson: By 1991, he said he was worth about $100 million and was earning roughly $5 million annually in endorsements. Denzel Washington: In 1996, the “Washington Post” called it the “Summer of the Black Male Actor” and singled him out among the era’s major stars. Will Smith: “Fresh Prince” TV star who became a massive movie star with “Independence Day” in 1996. Eddie Murphy: Estimated $246.5 million in earnings during 1991–1999 alone. Samuel L. Jackson: Major leading/supporting star of “Pulp Fiction,” “A Time to Kill,” “The Long Kiss Goodnight” and other major films. Morgan Freeman: A major star by the middle of the decade, with “The Shawshank Redemption,” “Se7en,” “Outbreak,” “Amistad,” etc. Wesley Snipes: Earned $37.9 million between 1996–2004, including $7 million for “The Fan” (1996), $10 million for “Murder at 1600” (1997) and $8 million for “Blade” (1998). Shaquille O’Neal: By 1996, Black NBA stars including Shaq, Alonzo Mourning and Juwan Howard were signing contracts around $100 million. Michael Jackson: At his peak in the late ’80s/early ’90s, he was reportedly making $50–100 million per year from music, touring, merchandise and endorsements. Bill Cosby: Earned roughly $4 million per “Cosby Show” episode, including production/backend participation. Johnnie Cochran: In 1999, Cochran said he was worth $5 million, excluding the value of his law firm. Colin Powell: “Forbes” reported in 2001 that Powell’s net worth was reportedly as high as $27 million, largely from speaking fees. These BLACK MEN weren’t hiding in the shadows. They weren’t cowering in fear of white people. They were MAKING MONEY OFF OF THEM. So by all means, HBO/Lindelof/Mundy/Kelly, please tell us all how bad the racism was for us in THE ’90S!

Black people dont have to work ten times as hard you dumb racist. Niggas like you give black people a bad name cause you think we are retarded and unable to keep up when ACTUALLY we have everything we need to succeed in life but your privileged virtue signaling ass is a problem!
I love how Lanterns Episode 3 shows how black people have to work x10 harder than white people through the whole episode. THEN we get this scene and you realize how prejudice Hal really is
