Hey, Andrew. I missed this one because it doesn’t seem to be showing up in my Spotify. Last episode is 508. Might be worth investigating.

I set out to write the best poker book ever and, while that may or may not have come to fruition, I’m fairly certain that it’s the most unique one ever written. It’s been a long process writing the book which I’m now pleased to share with the world: the Khemset Holistic Poker Codex. In this three-volume codex, I go through first principles and poker theory before shifting the discussion to my views on philosophy and the nature of reality, ultimately tying them together with the goal in mind of sharing a practical and actionable holistic perspective for poker as well as life more broadly. I wanted the Holistic Poker Codex to be memorable and feel special, and so I decided to print a limited luxury hardcover collector’s edition of 500 copies, each with a gold ribbon bookmark attached. I am likely to print it as a softcover version with a lower price point in the future if it’s well received, but I won’t be printing this particular version as a hardcover again, so it will remain unique. It’s funny how writing a book teaches you more about yourself than you might realize going into it. It’s a rewarding and fulfilling process, and one which requires an immense amount of care, attention to detail, and willingness to spend time on tedious tasks alongside the overall bigger-picture creative vision needed to conceptualize and put it together in the first place. I’m very glad I decided to undertake this project and quite pleased to have finished it as well! The book is set to be delivered to me in around six weeks’ time. I’ve just sent off the manuscript to the printing company and I decided to begin accepting pre-orders now. If you’re interested, check out the link below for more information.

"I think also that TV played a very major role. Because now you were having brought into every living room in America the brutality of the situation. So I think if we had television fifty years earlier, we would have gotten rid of lynching fifty years earlier."- Bayard Rustin
The Jews who went to Mississippi didn’t take selfies and post tweets of performative stunts to gain notoriety and virtue signal. They actually put their lives at risk to protect truly oppressed people. Comparing the two just highlights how detached you are from reality.

Villain bluffs 98% of the time if they hold a weak hand. But they only hold a weak hand 1/3M times in this spot. Do you call your bluff-catcher facing their bet?

You want the bad news first? The bad news is I have a 290 page novel about my time on the world's best card counting team. This is a story about two friends raised in Vegas who went from stealing chips in the cafeteria to stacking chips in High Limit. These are stories of locals who you've never heard of, counting cards in ways you don’t know, in parts of casinos that have no online reviews. Unfortunately, it would be easier to get the Palms to split aces five times than it is to convince these guys to work together and release this book. Say what you will about the world's best card counters, but their lawyers won't let you. But, the good news? The good news is you're still getting a book. A collection of short stories I've been writing in the early morning, before the crash of the work day. A few of these you've already read, but many you haven't including stories about a 1990s Canadian hockey fixer, my LA AA group, my experience fighting Topps over a five-figure baseball card, and certainly a few homages and shoutouts. “American Dynamism” Pre order available soon

I can’t stress enough that this would mean the complete extinction of human culture. You need art because it connects you to all who’ve gone before you; it challenges you to embrace perspectives not your own. Media generated to your exact preferences is the death of the soul.

Holy hell, what is this format? 13x higher variance per knockout compared to a standard PKO. And that's one elimination. The effect compounds through the progressive aspect of the bounty tournament. Total player variance will be astronomical.
With all the talk about the new Ocean KO I need @tombos21 to come in with the math to see what the variance will actually look like.

If billionaires came out and said they were going to hunt us for sport, some of you would defend it by saying: "You’re just mad because you can’t fucking run fast."

I’ve had a lot of people asking me about the botched execution of Christa Pike in Tennessee, as well as the upcoming execution by firing squad that’s supposed to be livestreamed. Having spent nearly 20 years on death row, my thoughts and feelings about these things are so vast that I sometimes struggle to find a place to begin. I became close friends with a man who had committed murder. He was like a brother to me. I once watched him break down crying, trembling as he told me he wished he was as evil as the world believed him to be, because then he wouldn’t have to care about what he’d done. Fifteen years later, he was still having nightmares about it. I know in my soul that he would never hurt another person again. But I’ve also watched a man being stabbed to death in prison. I cried for days afterward, and something inside me was changed forever. I learned that some people are capable of extraordinary transformation, while others remain capable of terrible violence even behind prison walls. There are no simple answers here. No slogans or political arguments that can adequately address the complexity of human beings, guilt, punishment, and suffering. But there is one thing I want to say about the upcoming execution by firing squad. Don’t watch it. Whatever you believe about the death penalty, even if you think the person being executed deserves to die, don’t watch it. You cannot witness a human being being killed and simply walk away unchanged. What you see becomes part of you. It follows you into places you never expected it to reach. There are things I witnessed in prison that I would give anything to forget, things that still cast a shadow over my life decades later. There’s a difference between understanding that terrible things happen in the world and deliberately making yourself a spectator to them. I don’t have all the answers about justice, punishment, or forgiveness. But I do know that killing another human being should never become so ordinary that we turn it into something to watch from the comfort of our living rooms.

No matter who you're voting for, make sure you can vote. Know where to vote & what's on your ballot. This site tells you all you need. They tried to tell me I couldn't vote once! (Luckily, @barbs73 advocated!) It is crucial to check your voter reg before your state's deadline
TODAY: Early voting begins in Maine and California, and the process has already started in many other states across the U.S. Are YOU registered to vote? As the Trump administration ramps up its attacks on voting, it’s time to check your registration status: demdock.com/4gRtE8P
