Arjun’s AGMS, ICPS and DNS status. A nothingburger really in the current scheme of things but it counts I guess.
I think the BUSK could have been level 6 AP on the front (in conjunction with BMP-2 base), given how thick those panels were. But again, beating archaic rounds like 3UBR6 shouldn't be that difficult.
A number of Indian T-72s retrofitted with new ESSA-72 sights (locally produced as “TIFCS-418” per IOL sources, with the last digits supposedly denoting units ordered).
Aktchually 🤓☝️ the "obsolete" No. 2 helmet resists 7.62x39 mm rifle AP bullets with hard steel core penetrator at ≥10 mm in a 60° frontal arc, has optional top frag/9 mm protection (under 1.5 kg) & was tested against biomechanical headform props to warrant viable user safety.

The Indian Army has been slow to give its soldiers this. Troops away from the front often wear an old helmet that cannot stop a bullet. Newer helmets stop pistol bullets but not rifle bullets. An order for better ones has been stuck since 2022.
This shit is so barebones...

It should be different from DMRL's effort of making 25/30 mm FSAPDS proof panels for the Zorawar since they fall under the DG(NS&M) cluster.
R&DE(E), DRDO, Pune has successfully developed and tested indigenous lightweight STANAG-6 (30mm AP) armour panels for next-generation MBTs, Light Tanks and FICVs.
DRDO has now issued an EoI for Transfer of Technology (ToT) to Indian vendors for manufacturing this technology, paving the way for wider industrial adoption, indigenous production.
