IR jammer
A bit late to this, but this tank model also seems equipped with LWRs, IR sensors and IR jammers alongside the APS launchers and radars (which look like the MIMO ones we know of). Smokes seem missing, but previous renders suggest they should be integrated with the APS launchers.

As a future upgrade, I would love to see independent post boost vehicles for each RV like the Yars-M (so even in early midcourse, destroying one MIRV bus doesn't destroy all RVs) and extendable nozzle cones, if it hasn't been employed already.
The Agni-V Mk2 (Divyastra) is an advanced, MIRV capable iteration of the Agni-V. Major improvements include replacement of maraging steel first stage casing with one manufactured using carbon composite filament winding, it is India's largest composite casing for now.

ATAGS based MGS by TASL.
Possibly the turret version for TASL's AAP (hull in pic is IPMV) and the one in the quote is likely BFL's (in a rather limited capacity but it is what it is). Image cc:@alpha_defense

I must also reiterate that this CV1500A and the original DATRAN 1500 are different projects, according to my current best understanding. The former likely meant for the Arjun and the latter meant for the NGMBT. It's more of a spin-off relationship.

There are indications that both Su30 and AMCA's radars will have the same power output. If this turns out to be the case, the AMCA radar TRMs will require a higher peak power output (due to lesser TRM count) than that of the Su30 radar (likely 10W).

We now have a TRM count of the AMCA radar: 1528 GaN TRMs. This radar will use LRDE's new tile based architecture. However, the new architecture may debut earlier with the Su30MKI's VIruspaksha radar instead, which is being progressed using both architectures simultaneously.

There is a new version of the LCA AF Mk2 radar antenna. While the profile of the antenna housing likely remains the same, the addition of 14 new QTRMs takes the TRM count to 968, up from 912. This increase may have required the use of GaN TRMs over GaAs. nitter.cf/DefSysCI/status/185416…
A look at the technical specification of the AESA-AAAU for LCA AF Mk2: It features 912 TRM with 896 active elements, and 16 receive only elements. 10W GaAs TRMs, similar to the Uttam for Tejas Mk1A. The new antenna is shorter in height but wider, to fit in the smaller nose frame.

DRDO-LRDE's airborne radars can be categorized based on the architectures being used. The plank architecture (Uttam) supports dipole antennas. The newer, more compact tile architecture (Virupaksha) can house high bandwidth Vivaldi antennas. New details are discussed as follows:🧵

Now moving on to the BMP-2s. A contract of 969 units of TISK (Thermal Imaging Sighting Kit), sometimes also called "TIM" was signed in 2013 to be done by the same ALPHA-ELSEC joint venture.

Moving on to the T-90s. It's nothing as eventful as the T-72's discussed upgrades, rather much of the actual development so far is more about the indigenisation of various subsystems but that's astray from the topic.

In March 2023, the DAC cleared IAF's proposal for an indigenously design, developed and manufactured Long Range Standoff Weapon (LRSOW) to be integrated on the Su-30MKI. It has been learned that LRSOW now refers to RudraM-IV, adding to DRDO's range of ground attack missiles.

P-17B will not cost $1.19 billion per ship. P-17B is stipulated to be 'more weapon intensive' than P-15B, commenting on exact configuration is not possible at the moment but P-17B can be expected to feature ≥48 cells, including cells for >250km class LRSAM. 1/7
US Navy gets a newly built Burke for around 1.5 Billion USD (96-cell with quad packing VLS) ; 1.4 Billion for the first Constellation class with later ships at around 1 Billion USD per hull (32-cell with quad packing VLS). While IN pays 1.19 Billion for a P-17B.

The Vertical Launch Unit (VLU) for the VLSRSAM will undergo major design changes. Instead of a single plenum uptake chamber (PUC) duct for all 8 missile canister, there will now be four smaller PUC ducts with twin hatch doors. There are changes to the overall dimensions as well.

The Indian Navy will witness a significant increase in the number of VLS cells across its fleet in the next 6 years. The table below includes major warships ordered/under construction for the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy's fleet will add more than 600 cells to it's fleet by 2030.

HAL's New Helicopter Factory at Tumakuru is not just the largest helicopter production facility in Asia, but also marks a paradigm shift in HAL's production strategy: HAL is moving towards becoming a lead integrator instead of a primarily in-house producer of airframes. Thread🧵
