Happy publication day to Keeping the House.

Words on hiding in plain sight, set around and away from the north London heroin trade. Supermarket academics. The way cPTSD can spin time from us. Cabbages.
Grateful. With @andothertweets and shot by Richard Dixon, lostintottenham.

When I was a yute I got a child acting role pretty much out of nowhere & remember crying before going in one day cos I didn’t have my brother there, someone from production told Patrick Stewart I was upset and he pulled up on me and spent time just hyping me up till I was okay, can never forget how excited I was after that. Rest in peace to a proper kind soul

I just found out that Sir Patrick Stewart has died.
Here is a video he made on the advice he would give to his younger self.

Lula was only 33 when he led the strike alongside the metalworkers’ union that challenged Brazil’s military dictatorship. He secured wage increases and was imprisoned.
His rival, the far-right Flávio Bolsonaro, on the other hand, has had only one occupation since the age of 21: spending his wealthy family’s money and engaging in far-right thuggery.

Could you imagine Dragon Age sold to Larian Studios? That would be a master piece.

Earlier this year, Sarah Chihaya was diagnosed with MSA—a terminal neurodegenerative disease. Right now, she can no longer read or write—this will be her last piece. And it's a brilliant one about Emily Brontë and unknowability. thenation.com/article/cultur…

OPEN LETTER: Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public. Their withdrawal from sale, on the basis of ill-conceived and draconian anti terror legislation, is an affront to basic principles of free speech and expression so long taken for granted in this country. We categorically reject censorship - whether direct or indirect - and urge the government to change course, amending the legislation which has led us to this point of repressive absurdity.

I heard someone say “I don’t feel like myself lately, I must be growing” what a beautiful perspective for uncomfortable seasons.
Hamaguchi’s All of a Sudden is deeply human. A film made to show that hope is when we know it is always possible. I warmed to it so much, beautiful sun washed cinematography…It leaves you absolutely aware that the best type of care is care that grows towards someone as they are
