🚨 The judge just dealt a massive blow to Russell Brand. "Why has she exposed herself to this ordeal unless it's true?" That is the exact question the judge just handed to the jury. Summarizing the prosecution's case on the first rape charge, he asked why an intelligent, educated woman would put herself through this nightmare if it were a lie.

Heaven forbid being too scared to act or say anything when you’re being raped. 🤬
Russell Brand’s lawyer said in his closing statement that none of the complainants “resisted or screamed or even tried to leave”. He also said that the fifth woman, who alleged she had been anally raped, “didn’t roll over, or kick out, or try to stop him in any way from penetrating her anus”. I've heard many survivors say that they froze.

Don’t be like John It’s due to men like John that more rape victims do not come forward. And it’s due to that culture back in the 90’s/2000’s why women didn’t come forward as they felt they wouldn’t be believed.
I believe that Russell Brand is being persecuted for being a high profile shagger at a time, today, when the past is not just another country, but enemy territory. I see clear similarities between his plight and that of Oscar Wilde in his time. Immorality and illegality are not the same thing. One of alleged victims took 25 years to come forward! I don’t care for Brand and never have, but this wreaks of a ‘Me Too’ legal lynching. The 1990s was the era of lad culture — football, lager, and ‘birds.’ I was there and so were many of you. In the pubs and clubs back then it was ‘Get your tits out for the boys.’ Under today’s social and cultural mores that is unacceptable, and rightly so. The point is that Brand as a celebrity filled his boots when it was considered acceptable. However that doesn’t make him a rapist. No man is rich enough to buy back his past, which Brand among others has found to be true and to his cost. The antidote to misogyny is not misandry. Yet I fear that this is where we are now.

PGMOL 🚨: ProRef have CONFIRMED that Jean Philipe Mateta was sent off after VAR ruled that he was wearing a Crystal Palace shirt. Had he been wearing a Liverpool shirt play could have been waved on.

❤️ My beautiful boy deserves to be remembered with love, not hate. Yesterday, a Coventry fan used a photograph of Bradley to taunt Sunderland supporters. As his mam, this breaks my heart. Behind that photo is a little boy who was loved beyond measure (pt 1)

Block racists. Don’t engage. Don’t give them the attention they crave. Leave them to rot in their own, sorry existence.

Pierre Sage and Lens had a documentary crew follow their season last year...I asked him what a camera crew would've seen over the last couple of weeks at Crystal Palace.. A: "It's the same thing in another language, in another place, but it's simply different. "We, the staff, are always the same. We keep the same process, the same way of training. We have more games, that's why we don't train too much. "We have to work on recovery and freshness for the games and a lot of videos. But you will see people involved in their job, people who enjoy to be in this world, football, and especially in this country and in this club. Happy guys! Q: Is it easy to always be happy though when the team is going through a frustrating moment? A: "Maybe you will think that my answer is crazy, but I see it's an opportunity for me to become a better coach because faced with difficulties, faced with a problem, you have to find a solution I didn't anticipate. "It's an opportunity to challenge my ideas, my way of doing, some adaptation. I know the most important thing are the results. I know that we need to change things and to become the team we are happy to be. "And I have to take the good decisions at the good moment in this period because of their needs." #cpfc
