The idea that the Europeans could crush the US economy is among the most ludicrous things being currently promoted on this platform.
The EU could certainly harm the US, but once Washington weaponizes the Eurodollar and enacts a tech-embargo from Amazon to Apple, Europe is done.

Europe is totally freaking out over Trump. They are convinced he's cooking up some secret deal with dictator putin that basically sells out Europe’s security to Russia.
They are not messing around this time. They are calling it a strategic emergency and they've got a nuclear option ready to go.
Their plan? If Trump gives putin the nod, Europe is going to deliberately crash the American financial system.
They'll do it by dumping trillions in US government debt, which they all own. This wouldn't just be bad, it would be an absolute catastrophe, worse than the 2008 crisis.
The result would be a total economic meltdown: the dollar would tank, banks would freeze up, and the American borrowing costs would shoot through the roof.
And politically? The fallout would be a guaranteed disaster for Trump and the Republicans, proving he picked a shady deal with Russia, whose economy, by the way, is smaller than Italy's, over the stability of the entire free world.
The message is simple: Europe doesn't trust the U.S. anymore, and they are ready to hit them with a financial weapon if Trump steps one foot over the line.
