There are only 4 songs on here that aren’t instant classics. Great album, songwriting and production.
The Monkees released their debut (self-titled) album on this day in 1966. Released a month after the premiere of the television show, it was primarily produced by Boyce and Hart, who also wrote half of the album’s tracks. Thoughts? Favourite tracks? #Monkees

It takes a village. And a smarter defense. I watched Adam Jones and Vonteze Burfect give the Steelers a comeback win one of those seasons with really stupid penalties in the last minutes. Bwahahaha!

He was good enough to make me a nervous wreck and torture me when they played the Steelers over those 4 years. My Bengal fan brother is especially obnoxious about his favorite team.

That doesn’t concern me. I was just shocked to see it had been so long since his success. As a Daytonian, I was aware of the success of the Bengals during Andy’s first four years. He was an INT machine in the playoffs quite often, but he hasn’t had a winning record for 11 years!

Proof that stats are meaningless. Andy Dalton has over 250 TD passes to 150 approx. INTs, a 7.0 y/A, 39,000 yards passing (almost as many as Fran Tarkenton’s 40,000 yards NFL record when he retired). Andy hasn’t had a winning record as a starter since 2015.

@JackFritzWIP Birds didn’t want to pay to fly Andy Dalton to England, so they cut him.

I’d have done the same thing, and I’m a good tipper generally. For table service. Fast food workers work a lot harder than folks processing a takeout order, and no one tips them.

Donald Trump last night on his Healthcare plan: "We will pass a truly great healthcare plan" (He said the same thing for 10 years btw.)

Ben Franklin 5 and 10 cent store. For sports cards. In packs for 5 cents with bubble gum. And comic books for not much more.
Without saying your age… What was the first store you remember being genuinely excited to go to as a kid?

The Cincinnati Bengals are so bad they’ve embarrassed tigers.

Walk to school.
You wake up and it is 1970. No wifi. No cell phones. No social networks. No browsing the internet. What is the first thing you do?

Yes, because I’d have a $10,000/month food budget.
If someone offered you $30,500 to go 3 months without eating any Mc Donald’s, could you do it?

Kyle Sloter says he was told to play worse in the preseason with the Vikings because the team didn’t want competition between its backup quarterback and starter. "I was told when I was with the Vikings at one point that I needed to do less. That I needed to go out there and be worse in the preseason. Because it was creating an atmosphere that was not what they wanted. They don’t want competition between a backup quarterback and a starter. They don’t want any controversy. They don’t want those things. Especially when you have a lot of guaranteed money on a guy that is going to play no matter what. I have had people tell me that in order to make it as a backup in the league year after year after year, you have to play like a backup. And it just was never me. It was never me to not go out there and compete. It was never me to go out there and not feel like, if I’m not the starter, my mindset is I’m going to be the starter someday. I’m going to be better than the starter. I did things my own way. I have to live with that as well. I could have very easily laid down and done things a little bit differently." @KyleSloter

This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed. This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities. Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery. Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children. Abolish ICE.

The Brewers have been so good, I’m shocked they haven’t been in the WS for that long.

And Trump’s money came directly from his Dad, starting at age 10. $10,000 a month. In the 5th grade.
Every billionaire "started in a garage" story conveniently leaves out the parental loans, elite university connections, and safety nets. Bezos got $300k from his parents. Gates' mom was on IBM's board. Musk's family owned an emerald mine. The garage is aesthetics. The capital is inherited. Stop calling it self-made when it's generationally funded.

Not to put a fine point on the 31 years, but most guys in their 40’s should not challenge Steven Seagal to a fight. Overweight or not, the skills are still there.
Susan Sarandon could still kick my ass, I am sure of it.

This guy was a legend when I was growing up. Do you know who he is?
