Coach Vogel joins the Warriors' staff as Associate Head Coach after two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, most recently serving as the team’s lead assistant coach for the 2025-26 season.
He has 12 years of head coaching experience with the Indiana Pacers (2010-16), Orlando Magic (2016-18), Los Angeles Lakers (2019-22), and Phoenix Suns (2023-24), leading the Lakers to the 2020 NBA Championship and the Pacers to consecutive Conference Finals appearances in 2013 and 2014.

It’s just morally and reprehensibly wrong that this half-dead, morbidly lethargic, sorrowful excuse for a human being blocked or voted AGAINST paid medical leave 23 times. He returned to “work” yesterday after being on paid medical leave for 3 fucking months.

If council members feel threatened by the mayor having more power, and wonder what their roles will be, maybe they should start by making better business decisions for the city and stop falling prey to the culture wars that keep stifling any progress we make.
Our school district in Oakland will keep coming up with excuses as to why our kids are coming up short, but when I read that kids in Mississippi are outperforming ours at at a fraction of our budget, I have to believe the results reflect the adults in the room. It’s not the $$$.

For years our fellow residents assumed that the City could be trusted with infrastructure and budget responsibilities (like most other cities) so that they could just focus on things like social justice issues. Turns out things fall apart here when you look the other way.

The whole interaction between the Commission and OPD, most notably the names highlighted here, during the meeting discussing OPD budget and Bearcats never sat right with me. It felt no different than watching RFK Jr telling scientists how science works.

ESPN has lost a ton of credibility over the past week. From Pablo Torre dunking on them, to now Adam Schefter missing completely on the Gonzo deal.
Can we just admit ESPN is now fully an entertainment company? Not real journalism?
Where are the environmentalists when this happens? (And it happens all the time!) Where are the No Coal people?

Last month ESPN ran a splashy story that the NBA had “no evidence” Steve Ballmer funneled money to Kawhi via sponsors.
Last week the NBA issued historic penalties: Ballmer suspended a year, Clippers fined $30 million, etc.
ESPN never updated the piece. The league publicly said it contained “significant inaccuracies.” Pablo Torre - the former ESPN reporter whose podcast built the case- wasn’t asked for comment before it ran, and his statement after wasn’t added.
Staffers are calling it a disaster. Torre’s theory: the Clippers fed ESPN a story that undercut a year of reporting the network hadn’t done itself.
Meanwhile the network keeps firing real journalists who ask tough questions without fear and present informative insights even as they favor and pay higher salaries to hype artists.
It's a trend all over traditional media.
