#SaudiArabia #BangladeshiCouple

My dear Stephen, How lovely to see you marking the sixtieth. One of the darkest days in our history, etched in the memory of the nation, a community of such strength. All true. And all of it happening to somebody else. Here is the part your tribute left in the drawer. The tribunal found the Coal Board wholly to blame and said the disaster "could and should have been prevented". The Coal Board then demanded £250,000 from the disaster fund to clear the tip that killed them. The fund, raised by public donation for the families, handed over £150,000. Your party's government applied the pressure, in secret. George Thomas objected, then folded, and leaned on the trustees until they folded too. The Charity Commission sat on its hands. Nobody was prosecuted. It took thirty years to give it back. In July 1997 Ron Davies, your party's first Welsh Secretary of that spell, returned the £150,000 without interest and without inflation, and conceded the demand should never have been made. So yes. Remembering is lovely. Your lot billed the bereaved for clearing the mine's own tip. Twenty three likes. Five retweets. And looking more like your father every year. Do carry on, pet.
Today marks 60 years since the Aberfan Disaster, one of the darkest days in our history.   The tragedy, which cut short so many lives, remains etched in the memory of our nation. We remember the 144 who died and pay tribute to a community of such strength and resilience.

What his Govt is allowing is absolute insanity
Someone sent me a post that said this on it about the murder of Liverpool’s Ken Bigley: “These are the last images of Ken Bigley. Moments before he knew his head was to be hacked off on camera. I was sent the video years ago. Not because of murder porn but as a warning of what will come if we don't stop it. It changed me as a man. Mohammed Yaseem took his time. Smiled at the camera. He took his time removing Kens head while still conscious. Thats the idea. The same as the videos of Jewish women having their breasts cut off and thrown around like a ball as she lays there screaming knowing whats coming next. They kept him in a cage for hours telling him his inevitable fate. Unimaginable cruelty. His crime.... being a westerner. His killer Mohamed Yaseen Mohammed Yaseen is also responsible for setting fire to women and girls in cages for not submitting to Islam. He burned them alive. Laughing and shouting Allahu Akbar. God is great Setting fire to children and women and slowly removing another humans head whilst praising a sky wizard..... Have a wild guess where he lives now???? Windsor. Seen shopping in the Co Op We know he's not working so your paying his rent, utilities and food bill. Our government won't deport him or lock him up. Where's the fuckin morality?” It is truly terrifying what we are allowing our government to do to us.

Well said, IDS!
The IRA were terrorists, not soldiers. Their campaign of murder and bombing was not a war of equals, and no amount of historical revisionism will ever make it so. Labour’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill risks allowing the IRA to rewrite history while British veterans face the prospect of being dragged through investigations decades after serving their country. Where is the accountability for the IRA? Where are the answers from the Irish Government about those who fled across the border, the support they received and the supply of weapons? I served in the British Army. My friend, Captain Robert Nairac, was murdered by the IRA. His body has never been recovered. His family still deserves to know what happened to him and where he lies. The IRA cannot be allowed to portray its campaign of terror as justified by the Good Friday Agreement. Peace does not retrospectively legitimise murder. There is no moral equivalence between terrorists and those who served to uphold the law. This Bill is a betrayal of our veterans and of families still waiting for the truth.

You don't get to call people bigots and racists simply because they voted differently from you. Brexit was a democratic decision, not a referendum on whether people are decent human beings. If your children have fewer opportunities under the current arrangements, direct your anger at the politicians responsible for those arrangements rather than blaming ordinary voters. Your personal circumstances don't give you the right to dictate how millions of others should vote.
Lots of Britain's chose to live an work in the EU. Noe pretty much everyone is denied to opportunity. Including my kids You voted for bigotry and racism. You just didn't expect for you to suffer

Muslim parents "demanded" a ban on pork at a school in a city in the Netherlands. The mayor of that place responded with wise words! "Muslims must understand that they must adapt to the Netherlands, their customs, their traditions, their way of life, because it was the country they chose to emigrate to. They must understand that they are the ones who must integrate and learn to live in the Netherlands. They must understand that they are the ones who must change their lifestyle, not the Dutch. You must understand that the Dutch are not racist or xenophobic. We accept many immigrants, from many countries with different cultures and religions, which are Islamic countries that do not accept non Islamic immigrants. Therefore, the Dutch are not willing to give up their identity and their culture. In conclusion, they must understand that in the Netherlands, with their Jewish Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches, and religious parties, the religion must remain in the Netherlands. For Muslims who disagree with the Dutch culture and religion and do not feel comfortable in the Netherlands, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries around the world, most of them populated and ready to receive them with open arms, according to the sharia. If you leave your country to come to the Netherlands, and not to a Muslim country, it is because you have seen a better life in the Netherlands than where you come from. THIS IS THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE COMING IN THAT ARE THEIR TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRIES! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT? GO HOME!

Was really looking forward to lunch today at The Golden Lion in Brixham with family. I’d heard lots of good things about it, so I was quite excited. We’d booked a table for eight set for today over a week ago. There were young children in the party so you’re relieved when you have a place booked. Then, last minute, they CANCELLED us. Apparently we hadn’t followed a procedure sent by text. A text that never arrived. The booking was made by phone an over a week earlier. Nobody mentioned that process then. The day before they suddenly wanted bank details not over the phone, only via text instructions that we never received. We said, politely, that cancelling an eight-person family booking at the last minute with kids involved was unprofessional and not good customer service as well as not being fair. What we got on the phone was not an apology. It was a barrage of abuse and expletives. One of the owners, Jay or Alex, called my sister-in-law a “thick c**nt” and told her not to come back. She was in floods of tears. Completely shaken by the way she was spoken to which was inappropriate and revolting. That is out of order. If you can’t deal with customers, you shouldn’t be in the hospitality trade. And if you use foul, abusive language like that to a customer, it is completely unacceptable. A last-minute cancellation of a family table of eight is bad enough. Speaking to someone like that is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse. A good pub sorts a booking problem. It doesn’t swear at the customer and tell them never to come back. We’re posting this so people know how this venue handled it. A pub should not get away with calling a customer a thick c**nt. PLEASE MAKE THE GOLDEN LION IN BRIXHAM FAMOUS!!! If you think that’s unacceptable, share this. AN OPEN LETTER TO ANDY BURNHAM AND THE LABOUR TRAITORS From the People You Were Elected to Serve Andy. Read this carefully. Read it twice. Because the England you inherited is not the England you will leave behind, and the reckoning you cannot see is already gathering in kitchens, pubs, factory canteens, and farmyards across this country. We are the people you dismissed. The ones your focus groups labelled "left behind." The ones your candidates were coached to avoid mentioning by name. We built this country. We defended it. We buried our fathers in its soil. And we have watched, in silence, as you and your party have conducted the most systematic betrayal of a native population in modern European history. The silence ends now. On the charge of open borders. You inherited the Rwanda deterrent. You destroyed it in your first weeks. Since then over 30,000 Iranians have arrived by small boat. The Telegraph confirmed the IRGC, a terrorist organisation your own government proscribed, now owns the trafficking routes into Britain. Iranian intelligence operatives have been intercepted. The National Crime Agency confirms lorries move migrants in and out of the country like a logistics depot. You call this humanitarianism. We call it treason. On the charge of two-tier justice. Lucy Connolly received 31 months in prison for a deleted tweet. Rapists and paedophiles have received shorter sentences. Peter Lynch died in his cell. Labour councillor Ricky Jones, filmed calling for throats to be cut, walked free. Henry Nowak was stabbed to death by Vickrum Digwa and handcuffed by police as he bled out because his killer cried racism first. You have built two systems of justice: one for the natives, one for everyone else. And your judges cite "diversity and inclusion" from the bench as they hand down the sentences. On the charge of grooming gang cover-up. Rotherham. Rochdale. Telford. Oldham. Bradford. Sunderland. Your councils buried the reports. Your MPs blocked the inquiries. Your party protected the perpetrators because the electoral maths required it. Bridget Phillipson tweets about wildfires whilst her department reviews CSE data from her own constituency. Thousands of British girls raped, and you have the audacity to lecture us about "Islamophobia." On the charge of economic destruction. Britain now pays the highest industrial electricity prices in the developed world. 63% higher than France. 27% higher than Germany. One in ten factories faces closure. Miliband's net zero fantasy will cost £125 billion this decade. You are deindustrialising the nation that industrialised the world, and you call it progress. The pensioners you stripped of winter fuel payments freeze whilst you subsidise hotels for men of fighting age from countries we do not recognise. On the charge of housing displacement. You imported the demand. You accelerated the family reunion scheme from 4,300 to 20,600 in eighteen months before suspending it when the numbers became visible. Now you propose to concrete over the green belt to house the population you should never have admitted. British children are priced out of the villages their grandfathers were born in. This is not a housing crisis. This is a population transfer. On the charge of speech suppression. Graham Linehan was arrested at an airport for a tweet. Non-Crime Hate Incidents were only scrapped after international humiliation. Bank accounts closed for wrong opinions. Fathers arrested at their doors for social media posts whilst grooming gangs operated openly for decades. You have criminalised dissent whilst decriminalising invasion. Now hear this, Andy. And every Labour MP reading over your shoulder. You believe you are safe because we have been quiet. You have mistaken our restraint for consent. You have confused our patience for approval. You have watched us bury our dead, watch our daughters violated, watch our industries collapse, watch our borders dissolve, and you concluded we would never wake. We are awake now. Look at Brussels. Look at the tractors. Look at the farmers who decided they had nothing left to lose. Look at eight thousand men in one city bringing the EU to a standstill because Mercosur and CAP cuts were the final indignity. That is what happens when producers realise their governments have declared war on them. England is next. And it will not be tractors. It will be the pubs where the conversation is already happening. It will be the WhatsApp groups your surveillance state cannot fully monitor. It will be the workmen and the fishermen and the farmers and the veterans and the mothers whose daughters were failed. It will be the millions who voted Brexit and were betrayed. The millions who voted Reform and are watching. The millions who have not voted in years because they saw no point, and who are about to discover the point. You have one opportunity. One. To stop the boats, not with speeches but with force. To open every grooming gang file. To end the two-tier justice. To restore the deterrent. To close the borders. To put British families first in the country their ancestors built. If you refuse, if you continue this managed decline, if you continue to hide behind bus timetables and breakfast clubs whilst the nation is dismantled around you, then understand this: You will not be forgiven. You will not be forgotten. And you will not remain. Listen now. Or we make you listen. The conversation is happening. The mood is turning. The patience is spent. England is watching. England is remembering. England is coming. Signed, the people you were elected to serve. The ones you thought would never speak. The ones you are about to hear from.

Why have there not been more thoughtful comments from the ranks of academe?
I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism. As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

Of course, GB News would not have put it to Kruger that further drilling in the North Sea would cost us billions and return very tiny reserves of sub-par oil. Or that once we had spent further billions refining said oil that we'd have to sell it on the international market anyway. cc: Andy Burnham.
‘Britain is in an absolute economic crisis because of our energy costs.’ Reform UK MP Danny Kruger calls on the government to approve further drilling in the North Sea.

Well done Kay. At this sad time I think it's very brave of you to repost this interview of you unquestioningly accepting of bunch of improbable lies at face value. Perhaps if you'd done your basic due diligence as a journalist, Jason Arday wouldn't have felt so emboldened to continue up his tower of fallacy that would inevitably come tumbling down, and he might've had a softer fall.
I was desperately sad to hear of the death of Jason Arday. I interviewed him in 2023, when he told me about his extraordinary journey from being unable to speak until the age of 11 to becoming a Cambridge professor. Softly spoken and thoughtful. He was just 41 when he died. In recent weeks he had been subjected to relentless attacks online. Allow that to sink in this Sunday morning as a family wakes up and continues to deal with the raw pain of losing their loved one.

Wind providing a mere 3% of UK electricity this morning. So we’re having to import 10 times that amount at massive cost. Plus generate almost the same from gas-fired stations expensively kept for this sort of back up. As a result we’re paying an average £136/MWh. Our energy policy is a costly shambles.
