You can have multiple priorities at once. Voting is important bc we want to cortis to grow their accolades > increase overall success. Educating cortis on avoiding the usage of aave/blaccent is equally as important bc this dramatically affects artist/fan dynamics > relationships > overall support. Some of you guys are minimizing the efforts and feelings of others to garner more traction & support for your cause. Just bc something isn’t impactful in your life or you personally aren’t affected by it/understand it, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be important to others. I see so many of you lacking empathy which is definitely something cortis (especially Martin) would want us to have for one another. Those of you who are saying “who are you to educate? You’re not their teacher, mentor, parent, etc.”— this is a very disingenuous statement to make. In this day and age, we are constantly learning new things outside of traditional educational/familial/mentor structures due to social media & the internet. Information is so easy to disseminate and we learn everything from simple life-hacks, reviews on products, to politics, complex theories from anyone knowledgeable enough to speak on it- not necessarily sme’s or the traditional structures aforementioned. Regardless of title or position, we can learn a lot from each other from one human to another. If you believe people should only learn information from traditional structures in place, you are limited in your learning and are missing out on a lot. As a fandom let’s start to prioritize these two things AT THE SAME TIME: -educating the members on weverse about aave usage through thoughtful, respectful fan letters and community posts & -voting for cortis for the MAMA awards, MMA awards, sharing voting posts from other coers and voting bases, and get involved in the hashtag campaigns on here and on weverse

you cant be dismissive and diminish actual issues into just another fanwar and then be mad that the hate train fueled by said issue is only getting bigger

i wanted to step up and address everything that’s been going on recently, especially as a person with a fan account dedicated to martin. as someone who deeply loves and will forever support martin and cortis, i feel a real responsibility to speak on this topic directly and transparently without brushing anything under the rug. first, to be completely transparent, i want to acknowledge upfront that i am not black. as someone outside of the community, it’s not my place to speak over black fans or dictate how anyone should feel. however, i feel it’s important to use my platform to highlight why being educated on the use of aave (african american vernacular english) matters. aave is a distinct dialect with deep cultural and historical roots, and when it is used carelessly or treated as casual internet slang, it can easily come across as offensive and disrespectful. education around this is necessary, and it’s something our fandom needs to take seriously. that being said, this situation should not be weaponized as an opportunity to push blind hate, nor should it be used by antis to fuel fan wars or prove petty points. holding people accountable and wanting them to learn is about genuine growth, not tear-downs or malicious agenda-pushing. it is also critical to recognize that this isn’t an isolated issue centered around martin alone. the whole group needs to be educated on cultural sensitivity and language awareness. placing the spotlight solely on one member ignores the broader picture, and it’s unfair to act like he’s the only one who needs to learn and do better. on a personal note, it has been really exhausting and upsetting to watch martin constantly singled out for extreme hate. targeted negativity toward him is slowly becoming normalized within this fandom, and that is something i refuse to stay silent on or accept as normal behavior. constructive critique and education are essential, but targeted harassment aimed at one person under the guise of accountability is not okay. my love and support for martin and cortis will never change, and wanting them to be educated comes from a place of wishing the absolute best for them as they grow. i hope we can move forward by focusing on actual education, holding the entire group accountable equally, and rejecting the normalized hostility that’s been directed at martin. let’s handle serious topics with the maturity and respect they deserve.

COERs! If a situation doesn’t concern you please don’t get involved. It’ll save everyone a lot of misunderstandings and unnecessary drama. And if you do wanna speak on it at least take the time to actually understand what’s going on first…. Pls guys 🙏🏾

when we had this conversation last time all members were involved now that martin is being dragged obviously hes the main member being focused on…? shouldnt we be glad the other members are not be dragged like martin is im confused
since we're in the mood to educate our faves, i better see you guys individually calling out each cortis member for using aave as well, with the same exact energy you're giving martin right now bc you all know all of the members use aave regularly, not just martin.

not just martin but the whole group needs to get called out bc unfortunately they do use AAVE every single time a piece of content gets released. it’s better to call it out now and educate the boys before it gets worse

remember when martin was talking on live about how he will try to show us demos/songs that didn’t make it to the album on live and talk to the company for us 🥹 i wonder if this drive has anything he’ll show us 🐕: im currently preparing. i hope everyone looks forward to it, because there are so many things i want to show you all 🐕: um... in a little while, even if those songs aren't included in the album, if there's any song that I can play or let everyone listen to, ill talk to the company again to see if i can share a wider variety of things with you all
