As the world emerges from the chaos wrought by the trans movement, the monstrous incongruity between what well-meaning people thought they were supporting and the reality of what has occurred is becoming clear. Every day, more people wake up to the fact that trans rights was never an ordinary civil rights cause. It was never about equal rights or an end to the discrimination of a long-marginalized group. It was a total rewrite of reality—a movement intent on bending the world around the false belief held by a tiny number of people who didn’t recognise themselves as mentally ill. What was sold as medically necessary, life-saving care has turned out to be an atrocious medical crime committed by true believers blind to the brutality of the procedures they perform. And what the unsuspecting masses thought was a progressive quest for equal rights has instead resulted in the obliteration of women’s rights, the suppression of scientific scrutiny, the erosion of free speech, and the dismantling of child safeguarding. Read my latest essay in @genspect’s REPATH series on the madness of how we got here.

A bit spooky that our technology has been described in detail long before it arrived. People have been dreaming of intelligent machines since the ancient Greeks and the depictions only got more accurate, especially in the 20th century. It's like we've always known our destiny and we're on an unavoidable path.
Rudolf Steiner was so correct when he warned that humanity’s “shadowy thoughts” would one day creep over the Earth like a spider’s web: a brood of half-mineral, spider-like creatures, interconnected in a network with “an overwhelming power of intellect.” “And from the Earth there will spring forth a terrible brood of beings, a brood of automata of an order of existence lying between the mineral and the plant kingdoms and possessed of an overwhelming power of intellect. This swarm will seize upon the Earth, will spread over the Earth like a network of ghastly, spider-like creatures… These spidery creatures will be all interlocked with one another, and in their outward movements they will imitate the thoughts that men have spun out of the shadowy intellect… All the thoughts that lack substance and reality will then be endowed with being.” - Rudolf Steiner, GA 204 (Dornach, May 13, 1921) In today’s world (2026), the Internet is that connective web, running through electricity, wires and power, and reaching further into transhumanism, where the web begins to entrap us. AI, which some fear will become a superintelligence (theory of Singularity), a digital god, or even the Antichrist, works through the same things: powered by electricity, the decaying light of sub-nature, bound to sub-earthly forces of darkness. Perhaps that is the secret of the “World Wide Web.”

Just a reminder that it’s normal to drive your car until it dies, cook dinner most nights, live in a smaller home, pack your lunch, keep your phone until it stops working, buy used before buying new, make coffee at home, and wear the same clothes for years.

From the web: In 1998, Serena and Venus Williams claimed they could beat any man ranked outside the top 200 on the men’s tour. German player Karsten Braasch, then ranked No. 203, accepted the challenge. After a night of drinking and smoking with little preparation, Braasch defeated Serena 6-1 and Venus 6-2 in straight sets. The matches were not competitive. Braasch later said he never needed to use his finest serve. The Williams sisters are the greatest female athletes of all time. And they barely made Braasch break a sweat. It wasn't because Braasch was very good. He wasn't. But as a male, he possesses biological advantages even the best female athletes can't compete against. That's the very reason we established women's sports to begin with. To even the playing field. That shouldn't be controversial. And you shouldn't need a biology degree to understand it. h/t David J Harris Jr.

what
Kentucky transgender daycare worker "Maria Childers" did not go to prison despite pleading guilty to sexually abusing a baby while changing its diaper. He hired a trans activist lawyer, who argued that he would not have access to estrogen, and the court agreed. The court then reduced his bond from $100,000 to $5,000 and released him, downgrading his felony sexual abuse of a minor charge to a misdemeanor and dropping all other abuse charges.

It’s actually completely irrelevant whether some males are hobbled enough by extraneous oestrogen to compete with women and girls. And DEEPLY sexist to suggest that this is what female sports are about. Female sports are there to showcase the best of what women and girls can do, not only for biological reason but also to combat centuries of sexism. The constant battle for men to try and take what’s ours is sexist, dehumanising and unfair.

Perhaps the most depressing thing about “gender identity” doctrine is that it has given people who consider themselves “progressive” license to be openly contemptuous about the rights of women and girls, and of homosexual women and men. They clearly enjoy it, and their glee is a ghastly spectacle.

In Fahrenheit 451, the chief book-burner, Captain Beatty, describes how reading became obsolete because the public demanded increasingly fast-paced entertainments, and those entertainments slowly corroded their ability to think. “Books cut shorter. Condensations. Digests, tabloids. Everything boils down to the gag, the snap ending. Classics cut to fit fifteen-minute radio shows, then cut again to fill a two-minute book column … Many were those whose sole knowledge of Hamlet was a one-page digest in a book that claimed, ‘Now at last you can read all the classics.’ … School is shortened, discipline relaxed, philosophies, histories, languages dropped, English and spelling gradually neglected, finally almost completely ignored. Life is immediate, the job counts, pleasure lies all about after work. Why learn anything save pressing buttons, pulling switches?” In this passage Ray Bradbury foretells the intellectual hollowing out of the working class, the advent of AI-generated “summaries” of classic novels, the attention-frying culture of short-form video, the relaxation of educational standards into non-existence. All of this in a book published in 1953.
Starting to really understand why a core theme of dystopian novels is that nobody reads

I truly don't understand what the position here is supposed to be. Are we arguing that no differences between male and female athletes exist? Or are we saying that difference automatically disappears purely as a result of gender identity? Because both seem totally insane.

The science shows there's no biological advantage. People really really need to stop obsessing about this one issue. It is too politicized for facts to get through to anyone.

Lord knows, I've criticized Musk regularly over the past few years, but this is a good defense of a guy who has done more good than harm (at least outside the world of politics). Musk is broadly directionally correct about a lot of things in the culture wars, even if he frames his views in sledgehammer-like partisan ways and is too eager to buy the most facile conspiracies and pieces of misinfo floating around. Also, his willingness to inject hundreds of millions of dollars into elections is an example of one of the things that's most wrong about American politics.
I actually feel bad for Elon, even though I deeply disagree with him on some things. Imagine trying to build a car company in California in the mid-2000s, when American manufacturing is being completely offshored and almost all of Wall Street thinks you’re a joke and is rooting for your failure, while the entire oil and gas industry is using all their power and leverage to make you fail. But against all odds, you actually pull it off. You build cars that make electric vehicles desirable to millions of people, create an enormous number of quality American jobs, and force the global car industry to play catch up and move away from oil and gas. You would think California would be proud of you and the team. Instead you find yourself having to fight a completely corrupt and incompetent left government impeding all your efforts while you sleep at the factory night after night to avoid collapse. At some point, you would go to the right too. And because of your politics, it becomes a justification for people to celebrate your companies failing in their personal ideological fight with you. Even threats against you become something people explain away and use mental gymnastics to justify. Meanwhile, people like Scott Galloway and Bernie Sanders who have made absolutely nobody better off other than themselves get to lecture you about your value to society and even call for your murder without grounds from their vacation home while you're on 20 hour benders in your factories trying to get things built for all of society. If this were me I would lose my mind. Criticize his opinions. I do sometimes, especially on Ukraine. But the pleasure people take in wanting to destroy everything he’s built is hideous and frankly suicidal for the masses, especially coming from people who insist they care about workers, the climate, and civilization as a whole. As you try to make good things for society you are confronted with a world that worships people who care only about the perception of being good people, while they actually fight against your tangible efforts of making improvements for humanity. I don't think almost anyone would have made it out of that and if they did, they would probably not come away feeling so warm towards the left either. So I am rooting for Elon to succeed, and for humanity.

Reminder: Washington just had a teen boy switch mid season to girl's cross country. He went from placing 76/302 amongst boys to 7th place in the entire state against girls. A girl was kept from regionals because of him.
When Prop 8 passed in 2008, we refused to accept it. We organized, and overturned not only it but all marriage bans. We’ll do the same with I-638. It’s an unconstitutional initiative that should be vehemently opposed and never implemented. Here’s how: thebulletinsea.org/issue-49-…

Few politicians can keep the audience with them through this kind of detailed storytelling. It's a rare and valuable skill. Obama's strength as a speaker isn't that you think he's smart, it's that listening to him makes *you* feel smart. And I get the same vibe from Ossoff.
He has that Obama elocution.

I don’t know how to explain this to people, but sports is really a big deal and having transgender girls in girls’ sports is never going to happen and there’s no argument you can come up with that will make it happen. You don’t understand this because you don’t understand this
Trans people winning in red states while anti-trans ballot props win everywhere is either an indication that voters are ok with trans people but won’t budge on sports/bathroom (bad) or that voters broadly dislike “transgenderism” but not trans people they can name (also bad)

The reality of trans inclusion is a man with a penis reporting your all-nude women’s spa to the Human Rights Commission for not letting him into your all-women’s compulsory nude spa, who forces you to let in any man who says he is a woman and attend a reeducation class and then fights you all the way to the Supreme Court before in the last minute issuing an emergency rule that men with penises can be kept out of compulsory all-nude businesses so as to ensure that the court does not produce a ruling that can ensure other businesses are protected against human rights commissions punishing them for keeping obvious men out of women’s spaces.
The Washington Human Rights Commission found an all-nude Korean women's spa in violation of its gender identity policy for refusing entry to an untransitioned man with an intact penis who claims to be a woman, pictured below. The Commission compelled the erasure of the Spa's "biological women only" policy (it actually did allow men who had removed their genitals while claiming to be women) and forced the owners to undergo DEI training. The Olympus Spa sued for violation of its First Amendment Rights and lost at both the district and appellate levels. On the cusp of a response to the spa's request seeking cert at SCOTUS, the Human Rights Commission has made a sudden about face, proposing to amend the administrative code implementing the state's human rights law to permit businesses for which nudity is compulsory to keep certain genitals out. This would settle the specific dispute between the Spa and the Commission but not necessarily end the case. SCOTUS could take the case and end up ruling that the Commission violated the Spa's Constitutional rights in a ways that could affect other nudity-compulsory business or find that genital prohibitions don't violate gender identity protections. The case does not threaten the state's gender identity protections as a whole, which the Commission issued a statement that it remained committed to preserving, but the emergency rule change appears to be an attempt to avoid the possibility of a constitutional finding that it violated the Spa's First Amendment Rights.
