I’m not going to agree with Andy Burnham on everything, but this statement needed to be said by a Prime Minister. After the Conservatives suppressed the truth for years, this took courage.
Andy Burnham becomes first PM to confirm Russian interference in Brexit referendum @campbellclaret and @RoryStewartUK's exclusive interview with @andyburnham on tomorrow's episode of Leading is out in full at midnight.

If confirmed, this is telling: Russian data centres get hit, and online activity around AfD suddenly plummets. 📉 So much talk about German patriotism… then the connection from Russia goes down. 🤔🇷🇺

Well, you can’t say the Cardinals didn’t give Marvin Harrison Jr. every chance to succeed. Well actually you can say that. I would probably say that in fact

Interesting fact: the ICC has NO cases or investigations involving US citizens. But the Court has an ongoing investigation and at least 2 arrest warrants out for Israeli officials, including Benjamin Netanyahu
Marco Rubio: Either the ICC will end its threats, or we will end the ICC. And we expect our allies, many of whom are part of the ICC, and that rely on American service members for their defense, to rein in this rogue court. If they do not, the United States will continue its campaign to dismantle the ICC, piece by piece, until Americans are threatened no longer.

The UK stands with the International Criminal Court and we stand united with our partners in strongly disagreeing with sanctions imposed on the Court. The ICC must be permitted to continue its critical work holding perpetrators of the most horrific international crimes to account.

Another dumb brainwashed American idiot. Per capita, the US knife homicide rate is about 0.46 to 0.50 per 100,000 people, against roughly 0.29 in England and Wales, so Americans are around 1.6 to 1.7 times more likely to be killed with a knife. The US firearm homicide rate in 2024 was about 4.5 per 100,000 (15,364 deaths, per Johns Hopkins analysis of CDC data), against roughly 0.05 per 100,000 in England and Wales (32 firearm homicides in the year ending March 2025), making Americans around 90 times more likely to be shot dead.

The Nobel Peace Prize has gone to Navi Pillay for promoting international law, which is the politest way a Norwegian committee has ever told Donald Trump to fuck off.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2026 to Navi Pillay “for her efforts to promote peace and international law.” Do you agree that international law is a necessity for peace and security?

Schrodinger's migrant. He only comes for benefits. Gets all the benefits. And somehow manages to get all the jobs. While living in hotels provided freely by the govt.
🚨 A shocking 82% of new payrolled jobs in Britain over the last ten years went to foreign nationals. British workers who live outside London have lost £1,000 a year in wages due to Tory mass migration. New data confirms the devastating effect the importation of millions of unskilled migrants has had on British workers. In the last decade, the number of foreign national workers on payrolls has grown TWENTY-FIVE times faster than that of Brits. For every new migrant job created per 100 people, native wages fell 1%. Brits lost £78 BILLION in wages over the last decade. That is the Tory legacy. They broke every promise to cut migration, flogged British jobs to new arrivals, and lost you thousands of pounds in the process. Robbed young Brits of opportunity. Reform will reverse this betrayal. Millions of unskilled people the Tories imported will have to leave. British workers will come first.

“From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” They artificially inflated revenues and cut costs to the tune of NINE HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS, Guillem.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think. In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards. Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted. City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it. From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system. From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor. We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?” And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.

Total support for this. There are plenty of things where we have healthy disagreement, but there are some core values - the things that define us as a country - that are under attack and unity is strength.
The strongest section of Kemi Badenoch's speech so far: "To those who say “unite the right”... we are not uniting with THAT. I don’t want to live in a country run by people who threaten journalists, call veterans traitors and debate whether my mixed-race children are English. "I don’t want to explain to my son, when we’re watching our brilliant England team play football, that some people don’t think our black players are English. "I remember back in the day when Ian Wright and John Barnes were playing - nobody was questioning whether they were English. We certainly didn’t have sitting MPs questioning whether they were English. "We must not let these people take us backwards. That is not the country we are. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed, but I am black. I am British. I’m proud of my country, I’m proud of our history."
