Excited to share our new paper, out today in @ScienceMagazine! We developed senescence-modulating nanoparticles (SMNPs) that target P-selectin+ pathogenic senescent-like macrophages in fibrotic tissues and tumors.

MSK scientists from @LoweLabMSKCC and @Dan_A_Heller's lab engineered nanoparticles to target cells driving scarring around many liver and lung tumors. In mice, this reduced scarring and helped immunotherapy shrink tumors that resisted treatment.
The laboratory findings, published in @ScienceMagazine, potentially pave the way for new approaches against immunotherapy-resistant tumors, as well as for a host of other fibrotic and inflammatory diseases. Learn more: bit.ly/4jyNtD4
