The 17 states who voted for the illegal blockade to starve Cuba are an extraordinary list of scumbag regimes. Headed of course by US, Israel and Ukraine.

The Palestinian population in Israel is approx. 25%, at 2.5 million. They are classified as Arabs, not Palestinians, in order to deny them their identity, and sever their relations with Palestinians in the occupied territories. They vote in the Israeli elections, and expect about 19 seats in the 120-member Parliament in the current elections. Nonetheless, they do not enjoy the same rights as the Israeli citizens. There are over 100 laws that discriminate against these Palestinian citizens in Israel. The country is codified in law as the national homeland of Jewish people. There is none in the Cabinet, but they have a judge in the Supreme Court. They serve in the army and police but at a deputy commander level at most. The nearly 5 million Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and 2.3 million in Gaza do not vote in Israeli elections. But the 1 million Israeli citizens living illegally in the West Bank do vote in the elections. Historically, the Palestinian/ Arab parties in Israel stay out of Government. With 19 seats, and a tie in the two major coalitions, they will be the kingmakers if they opt to join the Jewish coalitions which in the campaigns have made it clear they would not want to form a coalition with Arab because of their conditions. Very important meeting today between representatives of the Mecca Pact (KSA, Pakistan, and Turkey) and Iran in Tehran. But an invitation for Tehran to join the pact was not on the agenda. Rather, an emergency session in which the three are requesting Iran's help to end the conflict with Ansarollah, which is threatening to destabilize Saudi Arabia. From the Iranian perspective, KSA has committed the same mistake as Trump: Starting a war that it cannot control or end. Tehran is willing to help, a source in Iran tells me, but Ansarullah's condition for KSA to lift the air blockade on Yemen before any fighting ends is unchanging. (Ansarullah is focused on the air blockade, not the sea blockade) Still, this meeting reflects something even more important, and something we and other restrainers have pointed out for years: As the US pulls back militarily, contrary to Washington's conventional wisdom, regional states are showing greater agency and taking responsibility for the region's security themselves. This does not mean all problems will be resolved or that conflict and chaos will be avoided, but it will be their conflicts, their chaos, and their responsibility, not the US's.

🇾🇪 Yemen’s Parliament Responds to the European Parliament Speaker of Yemen’s House of Representatives Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i condemns the European Parliament’s latest position on Yemen as biased and selective, arguing that it echoes the Saudi narrative and provides political cover for war crimes against Yemen. He accuses the European Parliament of ignoring years of war, blockade, and suffering in Yemen, while overlooking the genocide, killings, siege, and starvation inflicted on Palestinians in Gaza. Al-Ra’i argues that if the European Parliament is serious about fighting terrorism and upholding international law, it should confront Israel’s actions in Gaza rather than apply double standards to Yemen. He also rejects attempts to portray Yemen as a threat to international maritime security, pointing to Sanaa’s stated commitment to safe navigation. His call: Send a parliamentary delegation to Yemen to witness firsthand the consequences of the Saudi-led war and the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Iran will not trade its sovereignty for a temporary reprieve from military pressure. Diplomacy remains possible, but submission is not on the table. The decision to resist and respond to any aggression has been made.
