This has been a bit telling, watching people mis-analyze what they’re seeing here, from both fandoms. 😅
What should be the takeaway here is a tip of the cap to Red Bull for what they’ve done on the aero-mechanical side. The update was impressive, it may now be the most efficient car on track.
Their PU is solid, certainly not on par with HPP, but a small step ahead of Ferrari still.
But what we can see now is they’ve retained predictable downforce for the drivers to use, albeit less overall than Ferrari, while shedding a significant amount of drag and excellent mechanical grip for torque application at the rear.
What you see here in traction zones and straight line is as much corner prep and chassis as it is engine. People conflate this with only being deployment.
Lewis having more downforce allows a bit more aggressive braking and fighting back in the corners, but it’s not to be compared to Verstappen’s traction application and efficiency without sacrificing corners fully. The lap time is about making the proper compromises, and Red Bull have found an excellent compromise again.
A key thing to note in this discussion… notice the significant lack of Verstappen vs Hamilton content in this? That’s because it’s about their cars. Both laps are well within the limits of driving capability.
Red Bull may do well in race trim tomorrow as well, as long as they can avoid a sliding spiral of thermal issues. That’s true for everyone, though. Ferrari’s extra downforce may help them on the tires as well.
McLaren and Mercedes are wildcards to me.

Was this not trumps whole argument on tariffs? We are getting ripped off in trade and when you raise tariffs and the government gives the money back to the corporations, they then can do what Costco just did?
Not to mention the times Stroud would get hit hard and homie would stand there and look at him slowly getting up. Glad Houston moved on from him and Tytus.
Yeah because your trash ass went and got your fucking cleats signed at halftime when we were getting smacked by the Ravens on Christmas.
Or the fact that you took vet days and your young QB called you a “vet vet” when asked why you didn’t practice
Or how you commanded Top tier tackle money despite not having any 1st team APs
What about how your false starts that you’ve led the league in since 2021 which constantly gave the Texans a handicap and actually took us out of scoring range which lost us games.
You were never a leader in the O-line room, you allowed your young to be one of the most sacked QBs in the league his first 2 years.
Despite being the highest earner on that O-line the Texans ranked bottom of the league.
You care more about fashion and tunnel outfits than you do about protecting your QB and being a leader on and off the field.

Dear Texans fans, i love you & have nothing but respect for you all but Sunday the Bengals will win, if you want to argue during the game I’ll be behind the Bengals bench in the stands ready to engage in pleasantries. #whodey
