When architecture works with nature, rather than against it. In traditional Iranian architecture, nature has always been an essential part of design, from Persian gardens and courtyards to the use of water, trees and shade. The Red Ribbon Project in Shiraz, Iran, brings this philosophy into contemporary urban design. Instead of removing the existing pine trees, the architects made them the heart of the project. A continuous ribbon of red stone curves around the tree trunks, transforming into pathways and organic seating areas. 🔴 📷 The project shows how architecture can preserve nature while creating functional, accessible and welcoming public spaces. Perhaps good architecture is not always about what we can build, but about what we choose to preserve. 📷 🏡

If Israel was “bombing Gaza indiscriminately”, why did those indiscriminate bombs kill under 2% of women, 6% of men, but “discriminate” against 100% of these generals? Could it be the IDF was, in fact, as discriminating as it’s possible to be in an urban warzone? Generalocide.
These are Sinwar’s generals—Mohammed Deif, Marwan Issa, Ahmed al-Ghandour, Ghazi Abu Tama’a, Mohammed Odeh, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, Ayman Nofal, Rafa Salama, Raed Saad, Mohammed Shabaneh, Hakem al-Issa, Bassem Issa, Raed Thabet and Mohammed Sinwar—laughing as they planned their war to destroy Israel. Israel killed them all, and all their allies, up to Nasrallah and Khamenei. They failed totally.

The West is worth defending.
Having spent a long time watching Elon Musk, and having talked with him, I believe I understand what he understood before almost anyone else. And it's something every one of us needs to understand now. Western civilization is not one civilization among many. It is the one that gave the world freedom of thought, modern science and the dignity of the individual. And it is under attack. Not by peoples, but by ideologies that want it dead. If it dies, the world will not become more just. It will become poorer, more brutal and darker. For everyone, including those who hate it. Why? Because civilizations are not interchangeable. We were told that any culture could be blended with any other, like mixing colors, and that the result would always be harmonious. It isn't true. A society where women are equal to men cannot coexist without friction with a worldview in which a woman's testimony is worth half a man's. A society where you can criticize God, change your religion or have none cannot absorb, without fracturing, a worldview in which apostasy is paid for with your life. Every people has its own genius and moves at its own pace. But not all values are equal, and you cannot build a nation on laws that contradict each other. Saying so is not racist. Racism is about blood. I am talking about laws, customs and values. And those values belong to no race: a Japanese, a Senegalese or an Iranian can make them his own, and millions have. That is exactly why they are worth defending. Let's remember where they come from. It all begins in Greece. In Athens, for the first time, men decide that truth does not descend from a throne but is sought through reason, and that a city governs itself through debate. Socrates chooses death rather than give up thinking freely. At Salamis, a handful of free cities stops the greatest empire in the world. Then comes Rome. Rome invents law that binds everyone, the citizen who holds rights, the Republic. And one immense idea: you can become Roman without being born Roman. You become Roman by adopting its laws. Christianity adds the most revolutionary idea in history: every human being, slave and emperor alike, has infinite worth. Then France. The cathedrals, those ships of stone our ancestors built over centuries for descendants they would never see. Descartes, Pascal, Voltaire. The Declaration of the Rights of Man. And Napoleon, who gives France the Civil Code, the lycées, and one simple principle: careers open to talent. Murat, the son of an innkeeper, ends up a Marshal of the Empire and King of Naples. The Civil Code spreads across much of Europe and still shapes the law of dozens of countries today. And this civilization goes on to abolish slavery, which had been practiced on every continent since the dawn of time, to push back the plague, smallpox and the night itself, and to set foot on the Moon. Peoples of the West, be proud of this history. Proud does not mean blind. Every civilization has committed crimes: conquest, slavery, war. Ours is the one that went furthest in examining its own faults, to the point of abolishing what it had once practiced. This capacity to question itself is its greatest strength. And that is exactly the strength now being turned against it. Because for decades, this magnificent system has been getting hacked. Not by an army. By an alliance of two forces that have nothing in common except one enemy: us. The first is communism. It lost the economic war, lost the Cold War, lost history's verdict with its tens of millions of dead. But it never lost the universities. It survived by changing costumes: class struggle became the struggle of the oppressed against their oppressors, and the West was declared guilty of everything. It taught our children to be ashamed of their ancestors, their borders and their culture. It is the root cause, because before you can bring down a civilization, you have to take away its will to defend itself. The second is political Islam. I am not talking about Muslims, many of whom came here precisely to escape this ideology and are its first victims. I am talking about a political project that wants to place religious law above civil law. It has no doubts. It feels no shame. It rushes into the void the first one dug. One disarms. The other advances. And let no one on the left believe they will stay in control. History has already staged this play. In 1978, Michel Foucault was enthusing over the Iranian revolution. Iran's communist party, the Tudeh, backed Khomeini and called on Iranians to vote for his Islamic constitution. By 1983, its leaders had been arrested, the party banned, and its chiefs paraded on television to confess their “crimes.” In 1988, thousands of political prisoners were executed, communist activists among them. The second always ends up devouring the first. Useful idiots are only useful for a while. So here is my call to every Western people. To the French, the Italians, the Poles, the Germans, the Spanish, the Americans, to all of you. We are at a turning point. What we do in the next ten years will decide what our grandchildren are allowed to say, believe, write and love. I am not asking you to die for the West. I am asking you for something harder: to live for it. Learn its history and pass it on. Have children. Speak without fear, even when they call you every name in the book. Vote, get involved, run for office. Build companies, schools, factories, families. Refuse the shame they are trying to inject into you. And stop surrendering anything that makes us who we are: freedom of thought, equality before the law, the dignity of every person. The historian Arnold Toynbee understood it: civilizations are not murdered, they commit suicide. And those who think they can let the West fall without paying the price should remember the Iranian communists. They helped tear down what they despised, and then they were next. The Greeks at Salamis were outnumbered. They won because they knew what they were defending. We are the heirs of Athens, Rome, Notre-Dame and the Civil Code. It is no accident that the rockets that will carry humanity to Mars are being built in a free civilization. It is time to prove ourselves worthy of what we were given. The West is worth defending. And no one will defend it for us.

Imagine actually being one of @as400495's co-workers, watching him stack all of these game-changing accomplishments in the midst of a coordinated attack on his character, competence and integrity by Dems and the propaganda press. Imagine their surprise that this person, about whose work they'd eventually write flattering testimonials, was being portrayed as a heartless, fascist computer hacker, sent in to steal all of our personal data. Insanity. The press's record for getting stories completely backwards is approaching 50/50.
Ed walked into the federal government at 19, when he had everything on the line, and gave it everything he had. At @DOGE, he worked inside almost all agencies like Social Security and OPM, State Department, HHS, working on decades-old systems, while the press made him a target over a nickname. He was busy being a patriot rooting out fraud and saved Americans over $215 billion. At @ndstudio, he became head of engineering, where he launched
• America.gov One front door to 29,000 federal websites and 40 million daily visits
• Every federal agency now required to plug into it
• Rampart, the open-source privacy filter he co-built that strips your personal information on your own device, then made 10x smaller with Rampart Edge
• Senior, affordable and public housing resources and fraud reporting, now live
• First-time passports fully online, starting next year •America.gov/fraud, so any American can help go after the hundreds of billions the government loses to fraud every year, and get up to $30,000 for an eligible tip And he was part of the team that shipped TrumpRx bringing the cheapest medicine to all Americans, Trump Accounts for American children, where millions of kids with no planned financial future now have an investment account to build one, and federal retirement off paper for good. He made the digital and living experience of being an American better for hundreds of millions of people, and he's 20. There will never be another Patriot like @as400495. Thank you, Ed. 🇺🇸

The West, or perhaps only the Anglosphere, is the historically unique idea that individuals exist not for the sake of their ruler, their class, their society, their ancestors, their gods, or any other such superstition, but for their own sake.

Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies. "AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO. The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet. Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model. For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic. AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace. The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated. The internet has entered a new era.

The current generation of models is already really good at coding. The next generation will be even better. As often happens, the capabilities are there before someone builds the harness to fully use them. I think we’re going to get an OpenClaw moment for software replication. Someone will drop a simple harness that: - Visits a software product with computer use, clicks everywhere, fills out forms and explores every workflow. -Inspects the DOM, console logs, network requests, API responses and how state changes to figure out how it works. -Turns those observations into tests covering the UI and the backend behavior it can observe. -Writes a giant Markdown TODO and launches a swarm of agents to rebuild it. -Uses the browser again to run the same workflows against both versions, compare results and keep fixing the differences. Give it a URL, let it run. Software competition is going to get very close to perfect competition.

Intelligence without wisdom is often how you end up getting what you want, only to notice, way too late, that it wasn't what you wanted, but what everybody else wanted in a mimetically contagious process. The price of figuring out what you truly want from life is time alone, and most people never really grow enough courage to isolate themselves long enough, and never discover their core values as a result. Lack of simple joy and genuine smiles in your daily life, lingering anxiety and anger for no specific reason, emotional distance even with your family and friends, or no close family or friend at all, and a feeling of emptiness despite becoming more and more conventionally "successful" to the eyes of society; these are all signs that you are not walking the journey you should be walking.

That feeling when an older person is telling you a story about his life and suddenly you realize he's remembering a Chumbawumba video
My dad used to say, “Joey, when you get knocked down, get up.” I’ve leaned on those words my whole life, in politics and with my family, through the best days and the hardest ones. I write about that and more in my new book, PROMISE ME, AMERICA. It’s out November 17th, and you can preorder it now at PromiseMeAmerica.com. I’m looking forward to folks reading it.

amazing how they don’t even pretend elon committed a crime, because they know it doesn’t matter if he did. they’ll find something. the point is just they really hate him, and when democrats really hate someone he belongs in prison.
On the Bulwak podcast, Kara Swisher says Elon might already be in jail under Kamala Harris, and "he knows what's coming for him." Another one to put in the "what Democrats plan to do if they take power" file: "If Donald Trump loses the House and the Senate, I would worry. I'd be worried if I were him." "So they're going to start investigating again. You think he's not on the list? He's at the top of that list." "He has a very big sense of fate. And I think it's coming for him. And real hard." They're all just saying this stuff out loud now. There are no secrets about what they want to do.
