Here’s a balanced take on this whole situation. For the record I do not know Samuel well. We went back-and-forth over some issues a few years ago, but that’s the extent of our comms.
Clearly he spoke against illegal immigration and for deportation and borders. Leaving a few options:
1) He’s a fraud and a liar. He spoke out against the very thing he was PRACTICING. He intentionally subverted immigrations, knowingly overstayed his visa by 4 years, and tried to beat the system.
2) He’s a genuine believer of what he preaches, and somewhere along the way in his immigration process he unintentionally failed to complete what was required to renew his visa and legalize his status in the country.
After doing some research, it appears that your immigration status relies solely on yourself as the individual. The government does not make repeated attempts to inform you of an upcoming expiration, or warn you that your status has expired, and that you face the risk of deportation. It is entirely possible that this happened to Samuel.
We could all play armchair quarterback, with hindsight being 20-20, and say that he should have been on top of his paperwork and constantly checking his status near the expiration date to make sure everything was turned in. I would agree with this assessment as any rational human being should.
That being said it does not mean that he willfully or deceptively tried to remain in the country beyond his expiration date. There would need to be other factors and circumstances to validate this claim.
Ultimately, at this point, I believe it’s wrong to throw stones at him as though he were a criminal trying to evade the system. If there is any scrutiny, it should be that he should have been on top of his paperwork. Even then, we do not have all of the information so it would be unwise to take a hard stance with out clear fax, and circumstances to back that up.
Lastly, if Samuel is the type of man he presents himself to be online and many believe he is, he would be supportive of his own arrest. He would praise ICE for doing their job. Time will tell. As his name indicates, we should be slow to speak, and quick to listen and gather facts.

The $118,000 bill is one day, not the cap. Three one-room schools alone already owe that much for 59 children, at $2,000 each.

Health Commissioner Mary Bassett imposed it on December 15, 2022. She called the sum conservative because it assumed only one day out of compliance.

Dygert Road was billed $52,000 for 26 children. Pleasant View was billed $46,000 for 23.

Scott Presler and his team at Early Vote Action just exposed something massive in Philadelphia.
Because the liberal states won't share their voter rolls they came up with a genius cross reference of using the Jury summons rolls since those correlate with voter rolls.
They hand-transcribed thousands of names from the non-juror lists because Pennsylvania would not allow them to copy the records. People summoned for jury duty who were excused because they are not U.S. citizens.
When they cross-referenced those names against the actual Pennsylvania voter rolls, roughly one out of every four came back as active registered voters.
That’s not a small glitch.
We’re talking illegal alien voters on the rolls, including some who have committed serious crimes against women and children, murderers, and sex traffickers.
Scott turned the data over to the Department of Justice.
The DOJ is now threatening federal criminal prosecutions against Democrat state officials if they refuse to clean up the system.
This is the kind of work that actually forces action.
Philadelphia has already started purged 50,000 thousand Democrat names in the wake of this pressure, and the gap to a Republican registration plurality in Pennsylvania has narrowed dramatically in just days.
Only American citizens should be voting in American elections.
Scott is doing the hard, unglamorous work of proving it, one non-juror list at a time.

This MADTV skit from 24 years ago is still painfully accurate.
A white girl whose brain has been broken by leftism uses her Black friend as bait to “prove” all old people are racist. When the old lady is actually nice, she gets pissed that her friend isn’t “Black enough” and tells her to pump up the ghetto act.
Then drops the classic: “I can’t be racist, my best friend is Black.”
The left still does this exact routine every single day. They hunt for racism everywhere, call everyone else racist, and never notice they’re the ones obsessed with race.

My husband, @mattvanswol has been locked out of his X account for refusing to delete a post he made this morning.
X locked his account for “abuse and harassment” which of course, he did not do.
In fact, he did the EXACT OPPOSITE and stated how horrible the video was and how awful it was to watch.
How can we “be the news” if we cannot post the news without being forced to delete it?
This is wrong.
People should be allowed to see the content Matt posts, regardless of whether it is hard to watch or not.
Personally, I often find it really difficult to watch some of the content Matt posts because it is so horrible.
And that’s exactly the point.
People need to KNOW things like this are happening… because without people like Matt, so many stories would not be national news and catalysts for change.

On a rare serious note: a year ago today, we lost one of my favorite preachers, Voddie Baucham. Few men have impacted my understanding and love of God's Word the way he did. I am deeply grateful for his faithful ministry and the countless ways God used him to encourage and challenge believers around the world. One day, by God's grace, I'll get to thank him face to face.
