Ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations, hundreds of demonstrators led by Jewish Voice for Peace staged a sit-in protest in New York City on Thursday, stopping traffic for over an hour just three blocks away from the U.N.’s headquarters. Over 100 protesters were arrested.
Many progressive and socialist elected officials participated, such as congressional candidates Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY), Adam Hamawy (NJ), Chris Rabb (PA) and Melat Kiros (CO). Other prominent figures also joined, including actors Elliot Page, Hannah Einbinder, Cynthia Nixon and Susan Sarandon.

Dana Bash. James Carville. Ezra Klein. Hannah Arendt. Many have said some of the same things Hasan Piker said, about how conflating Jewish people with Israel can make them more unsafe.
But Piker is the only one being attacked by the entire political establishment for it.
