Wow… @EuromaidanPR
FINAL: SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses   New 5-page institutional brief & 60s 3D SGP4 orbital reconstruction with Craig Pirrong, Ph.D. @streetwiseprof | Data & Forensics: RAB @LibertyLynx Pages 1-3 & 3D animation below; Pages 4-5 in Post 2; full 5-page PDF link in Post 3 🧵👇   As Craig Pirrong's counterfactual framework establishes: The Russian intercept is not the smoking gun. The failure to maneuver is.   1. The Sprinting Satellite Paradox & -96.64% Target Freeze (Page 1): Between Oct 13 and 24, 2026, Russian counterspace weapon COSMOS 2612 (68762) converted a 5-month, ~170 m/s co-planar trailing option into a 0.759 km sub-kilometer hold against U.S.-licensed radar satellite ICEYE-X36 (59103), which guides Ukraine's autonomous deep strikes on Russian oil refineries without SpaceX links, at the exact moment SpaceX throttled Ukrainian military Starshield terminals (-23.0% USF air-defense hits).   In June 2026 (with no Starlink alert), ICEYE-X36 defeated a Russian approach by dropping 0.500 km, generating 71.08 km/day secular drift (3.62 km/h in the sprint frame), exiting Russia's 3.0 km braking box in 49.7 to 60.78 minutes, blowing past Russia's 12 km or under onboard KTZ sensor in 3.31 hours, and causing a 103.7 to 118.5 km miss.   In October, as COSMOS 2612 fired a -2.2184 km (370.8x perched shock / 449.1x fit jump) burn to sprint 14.29x faster (400 km/day / 278 m/min), ICEYE-X36's evasion collapsed by 96.64% (to 16.8154 meters or less, P3 = 3.363%).

 * Why? The Alert Itself Was the Weapon: SpaceX maintained a 0.401 km (0.711 km Oct 16) public GP collision alert via STARLINK-35856 (67013) despite holding internal v3/v4 forecasts 4.80x to 5.00x wider (1.925 to 2.003 km) and withholding autonomous Starlink clearance (M_Starlink = 0, W_X36 = 1, W_COSMOS = 0), legally freezing X36 under David Goldman's 2023 FCC Condition 16 (DA 23-797).   * Rational Russian exercise across a 363.7 km blind gap required ex-ante certainty of K = (E1, E2, E3). Across all 5 capability levers, SpaceX is the sole actor (N = 1): Posterior = 99.893% to 99.978% (Tier A floor; 1 in 3,748 to 17,841) and up to 99.999% (Tier B K-set).   2. Four-Way Tracker Blindness & What NRO/USSF Saw Live (Page 2):

 * Public Catalogs (18th/19th SDS): Blind for 21.824 hours (363.7 km unobserved closure) on sprint (k6 to k7) and 19.385 hours on brake (k9 to k10, -382.71 km SGP4 delta).   * Russian Ground Radars (SKKP Krona/Okno): Bounded by Earth curvature at 541 km to a 22.8 degree (2,530 km) horizon cone, blind for 8 to 10 hours/day (80% to 94.5% of the orbit) with zero Americas/Pacific coverage.   * The Sole Unblinded Commercial Panopticon: Only SpaceX's Stargaze (31,000 star trackers, 40M+ daily tracks, 17M associated, 850 sightings/day, 7 to 15 min global custody / 99.73% 10-min hit rate) and sub-1-minute Space Safety portal (Appendix A & Section 4(b), with Chinese operators onboarded Oct 6 & 16) had real-time visibility across the blind gap, while NRO & USSF watch floors watched live on the classified High Accuracy Catalog (HAC / Space Fence / Vantor WorldView NEI), realizing 348 Starshield satellites in orbit (245 NRO spy satellites) sit on the same SpaceX bus.   3. Contracted Capacity Is Not Combat Availability & The 6-Way C2 Collapse (Page 3):

 * Combat Output = Sensor Availability x Link Availability x Platform Availability x Permission Arriving Before Mission Window Closes (T_permission <= T_mission).   * The Two-Pronged Pincer: SpaceX weaponized FCC Condition 16 to freeze the Sensor Layer in orbit and a Commercial ToS ($500 liability cap) to blind the Transport Layer on the ground.   * 70-90 km/h Civilian Baseline vs. 4 Collapsed Alibis: Civilian Starlink in Ukraine was already capped at 70 to 90 km/h since Feb 2026 (S. Beskrestnov). The Oct 13-24 101 to 161 km/h gate hit DoD-contracted military Starshield links (-23.0% USF hits; Oct 19 Nova Vodolaha strike). Musk cycled through 4 contradicting alibis in 12 days (blaming DoD/POTUS Oct 14 -> ToS offensive loophole Oct 24 -> "sympathy for poor Russian conscripts" Oct 25 -> Russian ASAT/debris fear Oct 26), while resolving the exact same "weapon ToS" objection on U.S. LUCAS suicide drones in Iran via a 5x price hike ($5,000 to $25,000/mo)!   * COCO vs. GOGO ($8.8B+ Sign-Off Chain): Under Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated (COCO/OTA) deals signed off by Pete Hegseth, Stephen Feinberg, CTO Emil Michael, Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, Gen. Michael Guetlein, Col. Ryan Frazier, Clare Hopper & NRO's Dr. Chris Scolese, taxpayers fund the satellites while SpaceX's civilian NOC retains 100% of the physical thruster and velocity kill-switches.   (Continued in Post 2: Pages 4 & 5: Statutory Breach Matrix, CTO Emil Michael's $7M-$35M OGE Clock, the $19.5B SpaceX Bailout Loop, Iran Round Two Magazine Depletion & Subpoena Schedule. 自动翻译出现后,我感觉西方人对中国的了解,远远不如中国人对西方的了解。 中国人对民主自由那一套,其实了如指掌。中国人不选择他们的社会模式,只是因为中国人不要,而不是中国人不懂。 但西方人却以为他们的社会模式,是唯一正确答案。因为他们存在有这样的优越感,他们干脆不屑于去了解中国。 因为不了解,所以他们只能带着很多困惑在推特上不断向中国人发问。

Infinity fits inside a leaf. Simple rules, repeated without end, build these forms. A stem splits, each new branch splits again, until a tree appears. The same logic turns a seed into a fern’s curl or a hexagon into a snowflake’s edge. Every part contains a smaller copy of the whole. Scale in and the pattern continues; scale out and the larger shape was already present. Finite steps produce structures of unbounded detail. These shapes show how ordinary repetition can hold the infinite.

The ugly truth about France and some of the other European countries currently in turmoil - and which none of the politicians want to admit because it'd be political suicide - is that you can't solve the problem by going after immigrants (as the right asserts) or the rich (as the left asserts), but you could solve it by going after the old. One extraordinary statistic for you: people over 60 in France, a quarter of the population, own 60% of France's wealth, non-financial and financial (ofce.fr/pdf/revue/2025/3-192…). And here is another crazy statistic: that same quarter of the population, those above 60, receive nearly two-thirds of all social spending by the French government (previssima.fr/actualite/prot…) - which is famously among the highest in the world (France's government spending is an insane 57.3% of GDP). Last statistic: they make up about 40% of voters because they're a third of registered voters (insee.fr/fr/statistiques/266…), and they turn out far more than anyone else (franceinfo.fr/elections/sond…). Put our 3 statistics together and there's almost a bit of an apartheid situation here: the old own most of the country's wealth, collect most of the social spending and have the political power to keep it that way. Which makes them a de-facto rentier class, living off assets and transfers paid for by younger generations. And, of course, at the risk of stating a truism, the future is built by the young. Yet France keeps effectively taking money away from them to give it to those whose working lives are already behind them - and need the money far less since they already own the country's wealth. What about inheritance, I hear you ask? That's the funniest/saddest aspect: given that life expectancy has kept rising, the French now inherit a home at 54 on average. The most common case is someone in their 80s leaving it to heirs in their 50s, in effect the very old transferring wealth to the about-to-be old (insee.fr/fr/statistiques/fic…). You can add this to our earlier apartheid statement: on top of all the rest, even when the old finally let go of their wealth, it stays within their own "camp". That's my personal situation, incidentally: I'm 42, my father is 71 and he is starting to look at ways to pass things on to me and my siblings, when our professional lives are already well settled, so it'll arrive when it changes things the least, which is pretty much the French system in a nutshell. Now, I get that there'd be some unfairness in going after them: they paid into the system their entire working lives, playing by the rules of a social contract that told them if they paid up they'd collect at the end. Changing the rules now means breaking that promise, which is admittedly unfair. But there's no magic wealth tree in any society: you can only take it where it is. That's the way most major societal transformations end up happening. They're often triggered by a catastrophic event (the so-called "four horsemen": mass-mobilisation war, revolution, state collapse, plague) BUT what really drives change is a transfer: wealth gets pried from the privileged class who've been sitting on it and handed to those who'll build what comes next. So, in theory and in an ideal world, you can do without the catastrophic event and directly proceed with the transfer... The fact that in France, and elsewhere in Europe, it's the youth protesting is probably no coincidence - even though they don't frame it as a generational fight. And even though, cruel irony, the left politicians many of them march behind promise to bring the retirement age back to 60 (lcp.fr/actualites/legislativ…), which would make the situation even worse. Let's say they understand intuitively that the system is stacked against them, even if they haven't yet figured out how. And politicians are obviously doing what politicians do, meaning pandering to the people who actually vote, while pointing the young towards easier - and politically convenient - scapegoats. To be clear I'm not saying it's the only problem in France, VERY far from it. I'm also not saying that all old people in France live a lavish lifestyle at the expense of younger generations: there are also plenty of very poor retirees who, if anything, would deserve more. What I am saying is that it's probably the biggest elephant in the room: everyone can see it, nobody dares mention it - no politician, from any side, wants to run on cutting grandma's pension - and it makes every other problem harder to fix.

I'm an American, a U.S. Army veteran, and I live in Europe. And I'll tell you something that might upset a few people back home. I want my fellow Americans to enjoy the same rights, freedoms, and quality of life that millions of Europeans already enjoy. I want Americans to have access to affordable healthcare without worrying about going bankrupt because they got sick. I want American students to pursue higher education without burying themselves in decades of debt. I want Americans to enjoy stronger digital privacy laws, meaningful consumer protections, paid parental leave, and guaranteed paid vacation. I want police officers held to rigorous standards of accountability, where de-escalation is emphasized and deadly force is genuinely a last resort. I want Americans to understand that freedom isn't just about what the government cannot do to you. It's also about having the security and opportunity to actually enjoy your life. And before someone starts screaming about socialism, understand something. European countries are capitalist democracies. They have private businesses, entrepreneurs, private property, competitive markets, and individual liberties. They've simply made different decisions about what protections their citizens should enjoy. Europe isn't perfect. No place is. But pretending America has nothing to learn from other democracies is ridiculous. I served my country. I love my country. And I don't believe patriotism requires pretending that America is the best at everything. In fact, I believe the exact opposite. Real patriotism means wanting your country to improve, even when that means admitting another country does something better. I don't want Americans to have fewer freedoms. I want them to have MORE. More protections. More opportunities. More security. More accountability. More freedom to live their lives without being financially destroyed by illness, education, or circumstances beyond their control. And having lived on both sides of the Atlantic, I know that much of this is possible. We should stop asking why Americans can't have these things and start asking why they're expected to settle for less.

THE TRUMP EFFECT AND THE CONFIDENCE TRAP: HOW PERCEPTION DEFEATS INTELLIGENCE It seems that hardly anyone still doubts that Trump is an idiot. His absurd behavior, economic ignorance, limited vocabulary, narcissism, contradictory statements, and constant reversals have even earned him the nickname TACO — Trump Always Chickens Out. But the real question is: how did someone like him become president of the United States? Niccolò Machiavelli offered an explanation 500 years ago. Power is a performance. The winner is not necessarily the person who knows the most, but the one who performs most convincingly. Politics rewards appearances, confidence, and the ability to create an image of strength. People do not always seek truth. They seek certainty. Intelligent people recognize complexity. They understand consequences, compromises, probabilities, and uncertainty. They hesitate before making promises because they know reality rarely offers simple answers. But crowds often interpret caution as weakness. One person says, “We need to analyze the consequences.” Another declares, “I know exactly how to fix everything!” Guess whom the crowd follows. Modern psychology describes a related phenomenon: the Dunning-Kruger effect. People with limited competence may overestimate their abilities, while genuine experts are often more conscious of what they do not know. Confidence becomes a substitute for competence. The louder someone speaks, the more certain they appear, and the easier it becomes for others to mistake conviction for knowledge. As Shakespeare wrote, “The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.” This is the trap of modern politics. People who speak as though they know everything can attract enormous audiences, while those who carefully explain complicated realities struggle to be heard. But the greatest danger begins when such a leader actually gains power. Machiavelli wrote: “The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.” A weak leader fears strong personalities. He dislikes independent judgment, criticism, and anyone who might demonstrate greater competence. Instead of surrounding himself with experts, he chooses loyalists. Instead of people who identify problems, he appoints people who conceal them. Instead of advisers who challenge his decisions, he prefers those who applaud every word. And incompetence spreads downward through the entire system. Eventually, the government becomes an ecosystem of mediocrity, where loyalty matters more than ability, criticism is treated as betrayal, and uncomfortable truths are systematically suppressed. Such a leader does not strengthen institutions. He gradually destroys them from within. He fears independent experts because they expose his limitations. He fears honest feedback because it threatens his carefully manufactured image of greatness. And when a genuine crisis arrives, this system reveals its weaknesses. There is no depth, no independent expertise, no flexibility. Only mutual fear, personal loyalty, and illusions of strength. History has repeatedly demonstrated how dangerous such political structures can become. The tragedy is that societies continue to reward the very qualities that make these systems possible. Why do people follow leaders who promise easy solutions, speak loudly, and never admit uncertainty? The answer lies not only in Trump, but in human psychology. Our brains seek shortcuts. Confidence, decisiveness, and simple explanations feel reassuring, especially during periods of fear and instability. But confidence is not intelligence. Charisma is not competence. The greatest political danger begins when a society can no longer distinguish between someone who understands reality and someone who merely sounds certain about it. And that brings us to the most uncomfortable question of all: why do voters repeatedly mistake the performance of leadership for leadership itself?
