A Texas grand jury has indicted ICE agent Mario Alberto Morales on felony aggravated assault charges after he struck a fleeing construction worker with his SUV in Houston, breaking the man’s leg in three places.

This man was forced to surrender his dog to the Humane Society due to a long hospital stay.
A nurse found out about this and immediately went to the shelter and adopted the dog. She brings him to visit daily and will return him as soon as the man is released.

GOOD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE 💖 The Kennedy family gave Jerome Powell their highest honor for standing up to Trump.
Jerome Powell was presented with the 2026 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award at the JFK Presidential Library, recognized by the Kennedy family foundation for “refusing to bend the Federal Reserve to Donald Trump's political will.”
The award, presented by Caroline Kennedy and her son Jack Schlossberg, cited Powell's years of resistance to relentless pressure and threats originating from the highest levels of the federal government.
Trump repeatedly demanded rate cuts, publicly attacked Powell, and his allies even floated the possibility of criminal charges against him.
Powell didn't flinch.
The award committee put it plainly: Powell faced attacks from elected officials and partisan criticism from across the aisle, yet he refused to let political forces dictate monetary policy.
He defended the Fed's integrity, affirmed his resolve to serve the American people without compromise, and in doing so protected one of the most vital apolitical institutions this country has.
We need more Jeromes and less Donalds.

Two innocent ponies. Emaciated, neglected and left to die in a field. 💔
Tonight, we had to go alongside An Garda Síochána to remove these two poor ponies from a field not far from Dublin.
We are absolutely devastated, disgusted and angry.😡😡😡😡
How can this happen? How can people watch two innocent animals deteriorate like this and do absolutely nothing?💔😡
These ponies are severely emaciated. They are weak, exhausted and in a terrible condition. When they arrived at the veterinary hospital, they just kept drinking and drinking. They were so so thirsty.
They will need urgent veterinary attention, treatment for suspected worm burden and a long road to recovery if they make it 💔💔💔💔
They are not microchipped, but we sincerely hope that whoever is responsible will be identified and held accountable. Animals cannot speak for themselves. They depend on us to protect them.💔
We are sickened that this level of suffering can happen. What has happened to compassion? What has happened to Ireland?
There is no excuse for this. None.😡😡😡
But tonight, at least, these two beautiful souls are SAFE. ❤️
