๐Ÿถyiwan is quite calm and laid back since he (์ด์™„) relaxation and hwaran... she does have quite a temper... that's why she's (ํ™”๋ž€) ํ™” (hwa) means anger ๐Ÿถi think i brought this up when i first spoke with director. ๐ŸฆŠ(donggu don know) ๐Ÿถyou hadn't heard about that? i see. i thought you already looked into it as well... ๐Ÿถafter reading through the script i remember thinking, there's a certain feeling to these characters.. for hwaran, she's someone who, out of practical necessity, doing work that has nothing to do with her dreams. even so, she continues to make an effort not to give up on those dreams. so when it comes to facing reality, i get the feeling that she's a strong willed person who has this determination within her to overcome it no matter what. ๐Ÿถi think she's a very spirited person. and those qualities shine even more when she's together with yiwan, because their chemistry brings out those aspects of her even more. so i think once we established that overall tone, those qualities were already expressed quite well through the dialogue. ๐Ÿถwhile working on this project, rather than making changes to the dialogue or altering the situations, we simply tried to portray everything as it was, as faithfully as possible. i think that's how the characters came to life #kimhyanggi #ahndonggu #whileyourehere

Lee Seyoung has attempted a perfect acting transformation in 'The Remarried Empress'. According to FlixPatrol, a global OTT ranking site, on the 5th, "The Remarried Empress," released on the 3rd, ranked first in the Disney+ TV Show category in 12 countries worldwide, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Belgium, and Switzerland, and recorded 7th place in the overall global rankings. Additionally, it took first place in the Disney+ "Korea's Top 10 Today" category. Lee Seyoung, playing the role of Rashta, captivated viewers with her irresistible charm. Rashta caught the eye of Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire and entered the imperial palace. Rashta, who went from a runaway slave to the Emperor's concubine, wore a happy face as she savored the daily life she had previously been deprived of, bringing a smile to the faces of those watching. However, she soon revealed her wicked side by making brazen remarks and acting despicably in front of Empress Navier, and by lying that she was friends with Prince Heinry of the Western Kingdom, exchanging secret letters, thereby provoking the anger of everyone. Lee Seyoungโ€™s passionate performance shone particularly brightly in the scene where Rasta appears infinitely vulnerable to Sovieshu, while concealing her malice against Navier under the guise of innocence. Through her versatile facial expressions, Lee Seyoung portrayed Rashtaโ€™s volatile emotions, drawing viewers deeper into the story. Furthermore, not only does she boast visuals with an astonishing synchronicity with the character, looking as if she stepped right out of the webtoon, but she also created a multi-dimensional character by intricately weaving the narrative of Rashta the epitome of "pure evil" by adapting her acting style according to the situation the character faces. As Lee Seyoung receives rave reviews for showcasing a never seen before side in 'The Remarried Empress', anticipation is high for what further performances she will deliver. m.beyondpost.co.kr/view.php?โ€ฆ

#TheRemarriedEmpress : Interviews with #LeeJongsuk and #LeeSeyoung ๐Ÿ‘‘ What were your first impressions of the characters you play, and what made you decide to join this drama? Lee Jongsuk: I had already been familiar with the original webtoon for a long time because it was an extremely popular work. Also, director Jo Soowon whom I have worked with for many years, repeatedly offered me the role with great patience and understanding. However, because the original story is so beloved by many fans, I hesitated a little because I wasn't sure whether I was the right person for the role. Nevertheless, thanks to my trust in the director, I eventually gained the confidence to accept the role of Heinrey in The Remarried Empress. Lee Seyoung: I felt that Rashta was a character who undergoes the greatest transformation as the story progresses. I found her journey of growth through various experiences very appealing, and I was certain that she would be a rewarding character to portray. I also thought she would become a character whom many viewers could support, which made me decide to take on the role. ๐Ÿ‘‘ Prince Heinrey is a particularly beloved character among fans of the original work. Is there anything you paid special attention to when portraying him? Lee Jongsuk: I recently started learning ballet. When portraying this character, I wanted to give him the beautiful posture and graceful aura of a ballet dancer. I'm not sure how successfully I managed to express that but I worked hard to get as close to that image as possible. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this character. ๐Ÿ‘‘ When you first read the original webtoon and the script to prepare for your role as Rashta, what were your impressions? Was there anything that particularly stayed with you? Lee Seyoung: The first thing I wondered was, "Will this story be portrayed without turning it into a historical drama, while preserving the original world's atmosphere?" That concept was exactly to my taste. It had such a lavish atmosphere, reminiscent of the Renaissance and Rococo periods. I remember feeling incredibly excited when I thought, "I'll get to wear so many princess style dresses and actually live in and experience the kind of world I've always dreamed of." Even after filming began, I found myself carefully looking at every prop and piece of furniture on set. I would even ask the staff, "Where did you get this?" ๐Ÿ‘‘ There are many romantic scenes that will make viewers' hearts flutter. What did you consider most important when performing these scenes? Lee Jongsuk: Personally, I think that if you become too conscious of romantic scenes like these, they can end up looking unnatural or even somewhat cheesy. So I paid particular attention to finding the right balance. When acting, I try to focus on my scene partners rather than myself. By paying close attention and responding to their performances and emotions, I can ultimately immerse myself more deeply in my own character as well. I feel that in The Remarried Empress, I focused on my co-stars more than I had in any of my previous projects. Thanks to that, I was able to express emotions more naturally. +
#ShinMinah and #JuJihoon Interview for #TheRemarriedEmpress ๐Ÿ‘‘ What were your first impressions of the characters you play, and what made you decide to join this project? Shin Minah: The Remarried Empress is a highly popular work, both as a webtoon and as an original web novel. Knowing that so many fans were eagerly looking forward to its drama adaptation motivated us to work even harder throughout filming. My first impression of Navier was that she is an incredibly strong woman with great emotional depth. I was particularly drawn to her determination and her ability to make decisions based on her own convictions. To portray these qualities, I made a conscious effort to approach Navier as a human being first and foremost. While reading the script, I tried to imagine how she would feel, what choices she would make in different situations, and how I could fully understand and connect with her emotions. Ju Jihoon: At first, I actually wondered, "Why was I offered this role?" (laughs). I think stories aimed at male and female audiences tend to have their own distinct characteristics. Initially, I didn't fully understand what kind of role Emperor Sovieshu played in the overall story. However, the CEO of Studio N, the director, and the screenwriters explained why a character like Sovieshu was necessary and what purpose he served in the storyline. ๐Ÿ‘‘Were there any historical figures or modern women you looked to as references when developing Empress Navier's character? Shin Minah: Before filming began, I tried to find historical figures or other characters who resembled Navier and could serve as references. However, every historical figure has their own distinct background, life story and circumstances. Considering Navier's unique situation, I felt that using those figures as references might actually limit the range of my interpretation. Instead, I focused on capturing what makes Navier unique and bringing out her appeal as much as possible, just as she is portrayed in the original webtoon and novel. At the same time, I paid close attention to her personal choices and inner emotions as a human being. In particular, when it came to her relationships with Sovieshu, Heinrey and Rashta, I put a lot of effort into understanding the realistic emotions Navier might experience toward each of them. Ultimately, I couldn't find any particular historical figure or character that I could use as a direct reference. ๐Ÿ‘‘Ju Jihoon, you have appeared in many historical dramas (sageuk). What makes this project different from your previous works? Ju Jihoon: Although I've starred in many historical dramas, The Remarried Empress is quite different from my previous projects. The story isn't set in any specific historical period. Although it's a fantasy, its visual world is reminiscent of historical Europe. Furthermore, while the aesthetics of this world differ from traditional Asian settings, the characters themselves come from Korean and Asian backgrounds. I understand that readers of the original web novel and webtoon have responded positively to this combination. However, when that world is brought to life through a live-action adaptation, I'm curious to see how audiences will react. There are so many mixed emotions involved, from curiosity and anticipation to a little anxiety. +
