Of all the times there have been similar edicts while I was in Paris, the only one no one protested was confinement totale (pandemic lockdown) - everyone just complied in a way we didn't see in North America and I think about that dichotomy a lot.

I've heard from 'credible sources' that upwards of 30k peaceful protestors have been shot & killed so far in France. They're even bringing in mobile crematoriums to dispose of the bodies according to 'people in the know'. Disgraceful.
