Videos from Kirandul, in Chhattisgarh state in central India, show the sky glowing a deep red as the remnants of Cyclone Arnab passed through on Wednesday. Generals? What Generals? The bar for becoming a general officer is in the fucking basement. You can see a trend in my posts as of late. I've gone full bluntness on this topic since nothing else seems to work. We spent twenty years losing wars while rewarding the people who learned how to survive the system that was losing them. Strategic failure became โ€œcomplexity.โ€ No victory became โ€œpersistent engagement.โ€ Nobody got fired, everyone got another star, and the bureaucracy learned the oldest trick in Washington: rename failure until it sounds like expertise. Then came the cultural surrender. The same generals who couldn't produce victory abroad stood almost mute while the formation was carved up at home by race, sex, identity, extremism stand downs, demographic targets, and an expanding DEI bureaucracy. They watched warfighting institutions absorb the language and priorities of academia and HR, then called the corrosion โ€œleadership.โ€ That's the stunning indictment nobody wants to touch: a general is supposed to protect the formation from threats outside it and rot inside it. Too many did neither. We promoted custodians of decline and called them strategic leaders. I'm sick and tired of having to pretend the system isn't absolutely cracked in half by people who serve themselves over the nation. No more.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ BREAKING: Fire at the Savannah River nuclear lab triggered an "unfiltered ground-level radiological release" and a shelter-in-place order The emergency dispatch says the fire was contained to one room at Savannah River National Laboratory, inside the Energy Department's 310-square-mile weapons complex in South Carolina, and that radioactive material escaped at ground level without passing through the building's filters. Workers in Area A were held behind barricades for about half an hour after 5 p.m., then let out while nobody else was allowed in, and both the dispatch and the site's statement say there's no sign of anything reaching beyond the fence. No cause has been given. Savannah River is where America's tritium for nuclear warheads gets handled and where excess plutonium and decades of weapons waste are processed, so "one room" at this site means something different than it would anywhere else. The site runs a radiological-release drill every year, which is why the shelter order came fast, but the questions now belong to the Energy Department: what burned, what got out, how much, and whether the monitors at the boundary agree with the press release. A new injectable gel can rebuild worn-out spinal discs instead of just masking the pain. Doctors working with US company ReGelTec are testing an injectable gel called Hydrafil for people whose spinal discs have worn down with age. The discs are the cushions between your vertebrae, and as they dry out and flatten, they can cause years of back pain. Hydrafil is injected through a needle as a warm liquid, then firms up at body temperature into a water-rich, rubbery cushion that refills the damaged disc and restores its height. In a study of 60 patients, average back pain scores fell from 7.3 to 2.1 out of 10 after a year, and disability scores dropped sharply too. Today, most treatments for worn discs manage symptoms with painkillers, injections or physical therapy, and the last resort is surgery to fuse or replace the disc. A gel that rebuilds the cushion itself could offer something in between. The early study had no comparison group, and five patients needed a procedure to remove gel that had shifted. A 60-page report from 2010 details sightings near Utah's infamous Skinwalker Ranch, investigated by a private contractor working for a Pentagon program run through the Defense Intelligence Agency. Over 25 witnesses were interviewed, including local police officers and a wildlife official. They described an upright, 6-foot creature covered in black and grey fur, with a head like a German shepherd and a weirdly human nose. One resident said his dogs chased it into a barbed-wire fence, where it let out an unnatural howl and every coyote nearby howled back. Investigators pulled hair off the barbs and sent it for DNA testing. It matched a dog living on the property. Other samples came back as raccoon. And that was that for the Pentagon.
