Look at this. This is Kapil Sharma’s show, a show hosted by a Hindu, with a predominantly Hindu audience and Hindu actors as guests. But watch this reel carefully. Look at how they are mocking Maa and making fun of our festival of Diwali. Every Hindu should boycott such people, and appropriate action should be taken against them. This is not COMEDY @KapilSharmaK9 @sherryontopp @shahidkapoor @WhoSunilGrover

Irfan Habib wrote an article in HT before the excavation started. He argued that the ASI should not go deeper than 2 metres because the dispute pertains to medieval India and any depth more than that would yield material culture of the ancient India and a brick of the Kushan period could be used as a evidence of a Hindu structure. The Muslim side took the cue and pleaded with the HC to prescribe a 2-metre depth limit to the ASI. The court asked the ASI to reply. The agency argued that limiting the depth would be against the principles of archaeology. It would be an incomplete and meaningless exercise. A couple of months before, Habib had admitted of a structure beneath the earth but called it ‘a residential quarter for marginalised sections.’ All his roguery has been unmasked in my book India’s Rogue Historians. Here is the link. amzn.in/d/073fAHRv
Supreme Court’s Babri Masjid verdict was “totally illegitimate” from a historian's point of view, says historian Irfan Habib in a conversation with @dksingh73 and @MandhaniApoorva.

No food, but a huge surplus of bullets?
This was a disturbing and deeply embarrassing scene in Gaza City today during the funeral of a man killed in an Israeli airstrike for allegedly being affiliated with Hamas. Members of his clan fired thousands of rounds into the air, initially causing panic and confusion among residents who did not understand what was happening. The spectacle of armed men recklessly discharging weapons sparked widespread anger and contempt among many Gazans, who viewed it as yet another example of the destructive behavior of powerful clans in the Strip. The incident renewed calls to disarm Gaza's clans and militias and remove weapons from civilian hands to reduce crime, curb intra-Palestinian violence, strengthen the rule of law, and break patterns of behavior that fuel radicalization, intimidation, and the dominance of armed actors over civil society. Many Palestinians bitterly note the irony that these same clans and armed strongmen, so eager to display their power before fellow Palestinians, tend to disappear when confronted by the Israeli military. Time and again, tribal militias, criminal gangs, and other armed actors avoid direct confrontation with the IDF, yet readily turn their weapons on other Palestinians, whether against Palestinian Authority forces in the past or, at times, even against Hamas itself. There should be no tolerance for lawlessness. Neither "martyrs" nor their families have the right to terrorize an entire society in the name of archaic notions of honor, death glorification, or tribal privilege. Hamas and Gaza's powerful clans alike must be disarmed, for the sake of Palestinians and Israelis alike.

In 2022 my Wife and I had stayed over at Conrad. I remember on Sunday morning post having breakfast we headed back to our room which was on the 11th floor if I'm not wrong. An hour later the Fire Alarm went off asking people to evacuate which eventually stopped after a few minutes. Then 5 minutes later it went after again. This happened for a total of 3 cycles overs a period of 20 minutes by which we felt this is not a drill and just opened the door only to see other Guests in panic trying to find the Fire Escape. Mind you this is 10 floors and above which involved Guests who are mostly Senior Citizens as well. Running down 10 floors in panic could end up the wrong way. Seeing all this chaos we decided to bolt as well only to be greeted by service staff 2 floors down who acted surprised and mentioned to us that this was a planned drill and we don't need to panic. By this time the reception downstairs was flooded by angry guests had ended up running unplanned to what ended up being a Planned Mock Drill which wasn't event informed to the guests. The staff was barely empathetic or let alone apologized to anyone. I know this is nothing related to the incident that recently took place and prayers with the families of the deceased. But it did remind of the incident mentioned which showed highest amount of carelessness in a place like this.

Do you know: This report on India's amazing poverty alleviation accomplishment in the last decade has been on the World Bank site since early October? But nobody in Indian media or GoI of various ministries posted about it, until after Oct 29 when the post I made got the topic trending on X. Now, it is being covered by international media too as a major win for India. I even saw some Indian media covering the story as "breaking" reading the words of my post verbatim! I think it would be so much better if Indian govt and Indian media start looking around for positive stories on India proactively to cover. There are so many around and they are not being taken to the public. Anyway, I am happy I could do my bit for the world to talk about something positive on India. The news has come as a huge dose of whitepill now for Indians.
According to World Bank's latest report, India's extreme poverty has fallen from 27.6% to just under 2.6%. And for Indians living under Rs. 400 a day (lower middle income), it has come down from 57.7% of the population to 16.1%. Remarkable achievement by India given the rupee depreciated and the inflationary pressure of a fast growing economy.

The Madras High Court has ordered the removal of Periyar’s statue from land belonging to an ancient Shiva temple in Tamil Nadu, giving authorities four weeks to relocate it. An RTI response revealed that the HR&CE Department had never granted permission for its installation. The statue of the anti-Hindu 'activist' also carries an inscription denouncing God and those who worship Him. opindia.com/news-updates/mad…

Most of the "5 star" hotels you see, like Radisson Blu, Conrad, Le Meridien and stuff like that, aren't actually owned by the brand. They only operate it The real owners are mostly local businessmen, politicians, benamis of bereaucrats, area strongmen and others like them. So as glossy as it is on the outside, internal operations are all screwed up. Penny pinching, delayed or non payments to vendors, absurd skimping on costs, compromising the quality of raw materials, the works. If you know the internal running of some of these hotels, it is actually a wonder such bangalore like accidents don't happen more often. If you don't believe me, next time when you have the chance, try visiting the service entry or the back office where the employees work You will get your answer

Denmark paid 71 million kroner for artillery shells for Ukraine. Shells delivered: 0. The "arms maker"? A registered software firm in Italy, sharing an address with an Audi dealer, advertising with video game and AI images. Estonia had already prepaid the same firm 187M and got nothing. Then sent our 71M anyway. No money has been recovered. We are a laughing stock 🤦‍♂️

Two people dying in a five-star hotel pool means current reached the water and nothing cut it. Underwater pool lights are meant to run at 12V through an isolating transformer, and every circuit near the water should sit behind a 30 mA RCD that trips in milliseconds. The probe should start with one question: were both in place?
