I confess, I am struggling to keep up.
Russia is apparently such an existential military threat that Europe must rearm at enormous cost.
Yet Poland can defeat it “quite quickly,” without NATO, because of its “overwhelming superiority in airpower.”
That’s just splendid, isn’t it?
I am beginning to wonder whether Russia is terrifyingly powerful on weekdays and remarkably beatable on weekends.
Personally, I would prefer a little more strategic sobriety when nuclear powers are involved.
But then again, that’s just me.

Poland can easily defeat Russia, even without NATO - Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslav Sikorski
To a smiling audience he explained:
"If Russia attacked us and we took our gloves off, I think we will defeat Russia quite quickly. We have overwhelming superiority over Russia in airpower."
If you have idiots like this in power, you do not need a war to ruin your country.

Unreal. @AmnestyUK (left) calls and n the UK government to engage in mass press censorship (“Arday’s Law” on right). Putin would dream of this sort of power. Oh, you published four stories in 48 hours? Sorry, you’re only allowed two. Madness.
Amnesty International is a shell of its former self, but you'd think that someone in an organization originally dedicated to press freedom would see the irony of asking the UK government to investigate the press for wrong (accurate) thought

I've never heard of a university department being so ashamed of its people that it hides all their names so people can't google them to see what they've written.
Cambridge started its Education school in 2002 or so. I expect people told them then that a school of education would be bad for Cambridge's reputation, but some administrator thought it would bring in money.

I can’t see @AmnestyUK surviving this. Donations will already have dried up, and they will be liquidated by the legal claims. It’s over.
Should any of the women's organisations targeted by @AmnestyUK's recent 'anti-rights' blacklist wish to take legal action, applications can be made to the JK Rowling Women's Fund. jkrwf.org

I was a big supporter of Amnesty when they fought political imprisonment and torture
Now I renounce them entirely
We were also libelled alongside @jk_rowling’s @beirasplace in this poorly researched & defamatory hit piece from disgraced former human rights charity @amnesty.
Firstly amnesty clearly know nothing about our group as they listed us a ‘gender critical’ group. We are not. We are a child #safeguarding group.
If Amnesty feel that standing up for child protection is ‘anti rights’ then we have a lot of questions regarding exactly what ‘rights’ Amnesty are advocating for.
We are aware that many people object to effective child safeguarding & that those that do will resort to slurs & name calling. This is nothing new & is to be expected.
We are not affiliated to any other group named in Amnesty’s disgraceful ‘briefing review’. Some of the other organisations we have never heard of. Those that we have heard of our understanding is that they campaign on issues such as women’s rights, Gay rights, Lesbian rights, free speech or like ourselves child protection. Hardly issues that any sensible person could interpret as ‘anti rights’.
We hope that one of the larger groups will be taking legal action.
The @ChtyCommission should also investigate but based on past experience we do not hold out much hope.
Once again when a child safeguarding organisation is being attacked & libelled like this it is further evidence that a #PublicInquiry is needed into the infiltration of safeguarding.
There are widespread systemic failures & public & professional understanding of what effective safeguarding actually entails is currently extremely poor.
The biggest right children have is the right to be protected by the adults in their society, particularly their parents.

Sky News yesterday: We have not contacted Nigel Farage's family.
Sky News today: Actually we did.
They lied and the government wants YouTube to artificially boost Sky News as a “trusted source”. They’re one of the worst for dishonesty.
Clarification: Sky News was not at the property at 7.41am. As has already been acknowledged, and as shown in the footage from 10.19am, Sky News was outside a property where Mr Farage was registered to vote at the last election. Sky News did not interact with Mr Farage’s daughter.
On a single occasion, we approached the property without a camera operator, identified ourselves as Sky News, and the adult occupant chose not to engage. We were seeking to contact Mr Farage to ask questions about the gift he accepted from Mr Cottrell. This is a well-established and routine journalistic practice when reporting on matters of legitimate public interest.
The footage clearly demonstrates that Sky News did not “hound” or pursue Mr Farage’s daughter. At no stage did we seek to speak to anyone other than Mr Farage in connection with this story.

🤯 Listen to this extraordinary exchange between Camilla Tominey and Labour’s Health Secretary James Murray. It is genuinely jaw-dropping.
Camilla: “You’re quite pro-trans, aren’t you? Do you think a woman can have a penis? Because you did previously?”
Murray: “No, I don’t.”
Camilla: “So you’ve changed your mind?”
Murray: “Yes.”
Camilla: “Why?”
Murray stumbles. He says he’s been thinking about the issue over recent years and would not now say trans women are women.
Camilla hits back: “You must have known that before. You are very well educated. How on earth can you have previously thought that a woman can have a penis?”
He had no real answer. Because there isn’t one.
This is not some backbench MP. This is the Secretary of State for Health, the man responsible for the entire NHS, puberty blocker policy, women’s health services, and child safeguarding.
He spent years either believing or pretending to believe that biological sex is fluid and that women can have penises. Only now, when the Cass Review, court rulings, and public opinion have made that position politically toxic, has he magically “changed his mind”.
Think about the damage done while he held that view. The eroded women’s rights. The confused children fast-tracked toward hormones and surgery. The female prisoners and athletes forced to share spaces with biological males. All enabled or ignored by senior Labour figures like him.
This level of ideological delusion at the very top of government is not just embarrassing, it is dangerous. Basic biology should never have been up for debate, let alone something a Health Secretary had to “evolve” on.

Tucker Carlson says Trump is privately “very annoyed” with Christians over abortion and “hostile” toward traditional Christianity in general.
JACK NEEL: “Has Trump asked you to pray before?”
TUCKER: “Absolutely not. Trump is hostile to traditional Christianity.”
“Trump is mad at Christians for opposing abortion and mentions it a lot in private. A lot. And he’s very annoyed by it. And opposition to abortion annoys him a lot. He’s mentioned to me like 30 times.”
“I vehemently oppose abortion... I think it’s killing a child...”
“But I haven’t argued with him about it. I just listened. Maybe I should have, but I didn’t. But he’s got a really strong view on that.”

Serbia's former foreign minister today revealed in an interview that after these public statements in 2009, Hillary Clinton told him in a private meeting that he needs to "stop activities on reversing Kosovo's declaration of independence else he AND HIS FAMILY will face consequences".
Jeremic said he explained that those activities are not his personal activities, but policy of the Serbian government, also their constitutional duty. That's when she said that.
(Jeremic also served one term as President of the United Nations General Assembly in 2012-2013)
