The 49ers defense has looked confused all day. Just very unsure of coverage and assignment, especially on the back end. All made worse by dumb mistakes resulting in penalties.
Definitely a bad performance, and unfortunately Brock doesn’t have enough first level weapons at his disposal today to make up the difference.
49ers offense is normally good enough to carry games when defense is struggling, but not with their top 4 or 5 WRs out.
This should be a clear signal to Lynch that a trade at wideout MUST happen. There’s no longer any question.
I said last week. If you don’t trade for a receiver you will lose to Atlanta. @JohnLynch49ers @49ers - maybe make a move. Pack up this week get healthy and make some damn trades. #FTTB

I also hope Jed York opens back up his check book and allows Lynch to spend a little more
Money in free agency. Bring Alec Pierce to the Bay.
Exactly - and move that damn power plant if for nothing else then optics. @49ers onto next season! #fttb
I hope what we just watched on national TV lights a fire this offseason.
Jed York → spend the money
John Lynch → nail the draft & FA (WR, OL/DL priority)
Kyle Shanahan → rally the locker room & likely find a new DC
This is the moment that defines the next #49ers era
