Brilliant. Elon Musk has just backed the people standing outside that police station.
After the crowd gathered in Basingstoke calling for Danny Tommo’s release, Musk wrote: “The people have had enough.”
That is a big voice saying what a lot of this country already feels.
Danny has been charged and remanded. He is in court in the morning. Hundreds turned up tonight. And now the world’s most watched man on X has put a line under it.
Elon Musk is absolutely RIGHT the people have had ENOUGH!!

STATEMENT about my local resident Del Somerville who pled guilty to violent disorder at a local protest.
Firstly I want to say I condemn any violent behaviour towards anyone. It’s never acceptable and never the answer.
Del from Paulsgrove in Portsmouth, where I’m the elected Cllr for, has just received a 2 year prison sentence. To be clear he plead guilty. The report states he ‘pushed through a police corden’, and he ‘swore’ and he ‘threw a plastic bottle into the air towards a police line’.
Now if you break the law that should have consequences but this is where I have the problem…
In handing down the two-year sentence, the judge explicitly stated that the punishment was intended to act as a stark deterrent to others participating in subsequent regional protests.
I’m sorry but the law should be applied evenly and fairly. Del being made example of means his sentence is disproportionately worse in comparison to what others would have received in a comparable situation, outside of a protest. That is wrong.
We’ve seen violent assault convictions handed out with suspended prison sentences but then this one gets 2 years and is rushed through a process that took a few weeks.
We shouldn’t be ‘setting examples to deter others’. We should be applying the law fairly.
This is a reminder that if you are attending any protest to always remain calm a peaceful. One slightly poor emotional response can change your life forever.
This system isn’t fair and it needs to be. One rule for one, one rule for another. It’s wrong.

Meanwhile the trial for the murder of Ann Widdecombe has been scheduled for June 2027. The courts can move quickly when they want to scare people. And slowly when they want the people to forget.
Danny Tommo has been charged with criminal damage and will appear in court today - the speed of this process is absolutely astonishing.
We're told it's in the 'public interest' to pursue criminal proceedings.
All individuals are entitled to the same treatment before the law, regardless of what the establishment may think of said individual.
The pace of incident to arrest to charge to court for Danny Tommo is rapid, to say the least.
I will be watching very closely.

I've just got off the phone with his son, his father Del, has been sent to HMP Lewes today where he is expected to serve 9 months or so from a 2 year sentence for throwing a plastic bottle. RIDICULOUS. He's a top bloke, worked with him for a few months, he would do anything for the lads on site and such a good man.
I will be posting his prison number once his boy gets it, through the HMP website anyone can send him some funds to make his time a little more comfortable, allowing him to buy things from the shopping list they have, once a week. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.

Del Somerville was arrested for attending the Portsmouth anti migrant protest on 6th September.
The judge called him a "Thug' and admitted that the sentence was to deter others from participating in later protests
He's been jailed for two years after admitting violent disorder for throwing a plastic bottle towards a police line and for swearing.
There are four other men currently awaiting sentence who attended the same protest

The CPS are yet to announce the name and charges against the boat pilot responsible for bringing illegal migrants to Britain on this boat.
They’re also yet to announce the name and charges against the people who owned or supplied the boat.
The one person we have seen named and charged is the man accused of trying to stop human trafficking by slashing a boat before it was returned to France to reuse.
How have we reached a point where the person damaging the boat appears to be facing consequences, while those responsible for human trafficking across the Channel have not been publicly named or charged?
Daniel Thomas, 37, has been charged with criminal damage and failure to comply with a notice to make disclosure in accordance with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. This follows an alleged incident where a boat was damaged in the sea on Tuesday orlo.uk/lkreg

Someone has made a very strong statement about the Danny Tommo witch hunt….
……….The dinghy had been abandoned and declared unseaworthy, therefore under both international maritime law principles and the framework of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990, such a vessel could - and likely would - be considered “"withdrawn from navigation”.
Thus, the dinghy was no longer a “ship” when Tommo slashed it, so he cannot be found guilty of an offence under the Act of 1990.
There was also no danger to life as the dinghy was alongside a French rescue vessel and the ONE person aboard was wearing full life saving equipment……….
Interesting. Let’s see what happens next.
