The Electoral Court dismissed the DA’s application against ActionSA, EFF, MK Party and GOOD. The DA argued their single-name PR candidate lists for the 4 Nov municipal elections were unlawful, in bad faith and designed to hide candidates so names could be added later. The court rejected all that relief, finding the law allows such lists and post-election supplementation. A related constitutional challenge was postponed.

Three children have been without their mother for approximately three weeks, and her loved ones are appealing for help to locate her.
Lucille Wernich, 38, affectionately known as “Lulu”, was last seen in the Forest Hill/Kenilworth area of Johannesburg.
Her whereabouts remain unknown.

According to information shared with Missing Person South Africa, Lucille has not been seen for approximately three weeks.
Her family and loved ones are concerned about her safety and hope someone may have seen her or spoken to her during this time.
A missing-person report has reportedly been opened with police, although the family is still awaiting the reference number.

The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) today lodged a formal complaint with the Gauteng MEC for Environmental Affairs, Evan Botha, and is demanding an immediate investigation into frequent fires at a compost manufacturing site in Station Street, Lewisham, Mogale City.

The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) will not be intimidated by seemingly deliberate and coordinated efforts to remove as many of the party’s campaign and candidate posters as possible across Ekurhuleni just before the elections.
The party is experiencing similar problems countrywide.
