MAGA wants to gaslight you into thinking Ukraine is obstructing a peace deal or a credible end to the war. This is nonsense. From the start of this administration, Ukraine acceded to a unconditional ceasefire along the line of contact, and that became the stated U.S. position. Russia refused. So the U.S. position (or the Witkoff position, anyway) morphed into Dmitriev's 28-point Russian "wish list," to use Marco Rubio's apt description of it. Fast forward to the present day: Trump announces an energy ceasefire, which he did not inform the Ukrainians about and which Peskov and Lavrov have both publicly rejected. And yet... Kyiv abides by the U.S. President's imagined truce, while Russia does not. But all the ire is reserved for Zelensky.

Following reporting by @SaraGonzalesTX and @CarolineWren, a hospital employee told @RheinAmacher and I that Talarico had in fact been a patient at the Lindner Center of Hope near Cincinnati, Ohio, which specializes in around-the-clock mental health treatment.
While I sympathize with those dealing with mental health crises, this man is CLEARLY not suited to become a US Senator representing over 30 MILLION TEXANS.
The job doesn’t get easier after being elected — it only gets MORE stressful.
And Talarico clearly can’t handle it.
I pray he gets the help he needs, but Texans need a real representative they can rely on.

It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.
