Today marks exactly 3 years since Judge Torres ruled in the Ripple vs. SEC case. That decision was a major turning point and the beginning of the end of the prev. SEC war on crypto. Court made it clear in dicta: XRP itself is not a security. A lot changed since then to the positive imo, a more crypto friendly administration and the CLARITY act that is important to move forward for investors, innovation and businesses to provide the regulatory certainty needed for mass adoption.

So after mouth-breathing bitcoin maxis claiming (falsely) for the past decade that XRP can be frozen on the XRP Ledger... their most vocal proponent is actually proposing to freeze BTC on the Bitcoin blockchain. I'm not sure whether that is the best approach or not (feels not), but regardless the hypocrisy is pretty amazing.

👀Keep an eye on #Ripple National Trust Bank Charter from the OCC 1) Ripple received conditional approval in December 2025 2) The OCC’s final rule took effect April 1, 2026 that clarified trust bank activities (including digital asset custody) 3) If Ripple meets the pre-opening requirements by the OCC (AML, KYC, capital, systems), they will be LIVE Possibly within the next 12 months ⌛️. Charter expires around June 2027 (18 months) This would move #Ripple inside the US Banking System to become a federally regulated trust bank which would dramatically strengthen their credibility with banks, institutions, and governments.
